Only one Big12 team (Texas ) too. It'll be interesting to see the bottom 10 next week. I'll bet we see some SEC, some Big12, Duke (one of the secret ingredients to their recent success...)

The premier jobs are locked up, likely for a long time UT, TAMU, TCU, and Baylor, none of which are stepping stones, especially for those coaches. Texas Tech isn't much of a vertical move. There may be opportunities in the surrounding states that keep him close to Texas, but would he really decline if Whit came calling? He has experience on the east coast and with the ACC. The Texas pipeline gives him a recruiting advantage. And he knows we're serious about our football.
Are you a Hokie Club member? If not you may have to enlist the help of one (or a season ticket holder)
I'm all for this, since it sells more tickets to Hokie fans, and increases the chance of filling the stadium!

It was an analogy, not reality. That was the point...it was intentionally absurd to show how ridiculous the Brady penalty is vis a vis Hardy.
You make a good point about Hardy getting "time served". However, if Goodell is going to penalize Brady because, at least in part, that his phone was destroyed, shouldn't the same logic apply to penalizing Hardy for essentially doing the same (and more) for a far worse (IMO) offense? If Goodell isn't bound by the rule of law with Brady, why should Goodell feel any constraint whatsoever with Hardy?

If I'm Bud, which I'm not, I'd have a hard time coming back to Tech if they told me I had to go elsewhere, get some HC experience, and then apply the next time we have a HC opening.
