1. Because it's totally ludicrous. Armed robbery is a felony, speeding and arguing isn't even a misdemeanor. Yet you postulate the two could have similar outcomes as if your suggestions were based in reality. No municipality is gonna pay to house your ass for 4 weeks just because you got mouthy. No state is gonna let you off that light for committing a violent crime with a firearm.
2. You're neglecting the fact that Hardy was suspended all of last season. So really, his punishment is 5 times what Brady's is, and would've been longer if he hadn't paid the girl off.
Coach had quite a busy day, I'm glad to see how much energy he had and how well he was getting around.

If the equipment people deflated the balls without Brady's approval, then why is Brady saying that the equipment people did nothing wrong. Brady is hoping that we are incapable of seeing the science involved. Science shows that there is no way the balls can lose that much PSI naturally by halftime and no way that only the Patriot's balls would be affected and not the Colts balls. The balls were definitely tampered with. It is no coincidence that the equipment guy was caught on film taking the balls out of the refs locker room (which he is not allowed to do) and taking them into a bathroom stall (where the cameras can't see). For Tom Brady to say nobody at all in the Patriots organization did anything wrong...is a crock.
