A 6'4" defensive player with a 40" vertical? A prospect that is also good enough on the bball court to garner ACC attention in that sport as well? Sounds like this kid has tremendous upside, whose athleticism would fit our style of play well. He also sounds like the second coming of Jeff King, having also played TE. I like our chances if he plans on being in the Burg on the 25th, followed by a UVA visit. Being on both campuses so close together will help sell our case. And...a decision hopes to be made by the end of July? Sign 'em up coach! This kid + Carson Lydon could create a formidable backer crew, courtesy of the Sunshine State :)

If I were a WR recruit I would be jumping at the chance to get on this offense. if you are really good you could get into the rotation as a true freshman. that has to be a big selling point.

also I see Ford reaching 1000 yards his junior year. I don't think anyone quite makes it this year because the ball will be spread around. but Ford's 3rd year he's going to be the one to finally get that record.

They seem to think they will all get into the stadium too. There may be a lot of them in Blacksburg, but I guarantee most won't get tickets

even though the official rankings state otherwise, I do not actually consider the #10 ranked upset as such. I'm curious what others think? Does anyone else agree that they felt we were the stronger team going into that game and the odds should have honestly been (either slightly or heavily) on VT's side? Because I definitely do.

Although this is essentially a "what's your bourbon" thread and I don't drink any alcohol (at all), your mention of situational red bull and coach's antsy pacing owls above have prompted me to chime in anyway.

I drink coffee. When I'm trying to wake up. When I'm trying to relax.

When we're down in the fourth quarter to 2010 Nebraska or 2011 Miami or the waning moments of the Sugar Bowl (pick one) - and my heart is pounding out of my chest so that I can almost hear it - I drink coffee.

I think if we don't win (or lose) all our games in a convincing fashion it's going to eventually kill me.

(...meanwhile readers are thinking I admire your dedication to your team and your principles but boy you need a drink!)

Seeing anything good from the 2002 and 2003 seasons just disappoints me. I thought those teams were 2 of the most talented Frank has ever had, particularly 2003.

You beat me to the comment by minutes IET. Being old enough to remember watching the game as an adult, I recall that nobody in the media gave us a chance at beating the Longhorns. When it was all over, VT had become relevant to NCAAF and Beamer's program was officially on the watch as a new force to be reckoned with in the rankings. I would put that game #3 due to the national stage and the name recognition of the 'horns.

The Declaration of Independence, Mr. Jefferson's advertisement of Mr. Lee's resolution. Jefferson put on paper what another Virginian, Richard Henry Lee, had proposed.

Boom.

Woodford reserve double oaked

And depending on who I'm watching with and how the game is going, a lot of red bull vodka and fireball.

Immature was the wrong word. More like snarky. Of course i don't have data to prove that some people choose not to sign up because of the GIFs. At the end of the day, it is what it is. I would prefer there to be less GIFs and more insight, but that's my preference. Also, I have absolutely no problem with OT stuff. It's just, again, you open up any thread and half the responses are GIFs that we've all seen a million times.
