Quantico is hardly northern virginia. Move inside the beltway and give it a try. If you're not into museums, tons of bars and restaurants and somewhat urban living I get it...but Quantico could be in Nebraska as far as I can tell.
Cedar Point is great but seriously - how many times does one frequent an amusement park after the age of 16?
Put-in Bay is cool - Lake Erie can be nice at times. I prefer the ocean and the big bay myself.
(my mom's family is from Sandusky so I have been a hundred times)
My two cents. Carry on...

Consent doesn't matter - the statute says it's against the law for someone 18 or over to engage in sexual activity with someone 15-17. Minors don't have the legal right to consent. If it was forced or aggravated, it would be a rape charge. I find it strange as well that the student conduct hearing so quickly comes to the conclusion that no university discipline should be levied when the legal process hasn't even run its course.

I know for a fact that a DIP charge in Blacksburg will get you an automatic year of probation from student conduct and likely a meeting with an alcohol counselor, while the maximum legal penalty for someone 21 years of age is a $25 fine. Seems as if there's not very much consistency between the legal system and the student discipline process, IMO.

I traveled to the game last year and got in the Sunday before. We had a great time at the OSU, met a lot of nice people and then saw a great football game. I hope we can return the favor for all Ohioans who come to Blacksburg.

Plus, wouldn't it just be so GRRM to actually kill him after all the buildup? Robb and Jeyne/Talisa was quite a love story with them going against what was expected of them being nobles and all and that didn't end up too great.

Been to Columbus twice, just for weekends, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I have lived on three continents and both coasts of the US, and although I have spent most of my life in VA, I wouldn't say it's the end all and be all of places. Love the mountains, but I've seen bigger and better ones. Love the rivers, but again, I've seen bigger and better. There is some good hunting, but, again... Blacksburg was a big draw for me, but it was the Hokies and all of the friends I made at VT in the 70's that made it so special. Rural folk can be the best people in the whole wide world, and the biggest jerks you ever need to meet up with. And I have lived the preponderance of my 65 years in the country, so I have met a pretty fair representation of them. Hunting in VA isn't what it used to be, either. VA has allowed the quail and grouse to languish, we've sorely treated the Chesapeake Bay, we are very good at revering the past and resisting the future, but most of us love it here because it's home. I think you were quite right in saying that home-bias is unshakable, and it is an argument with no resolution.

He needs to report early if he wants to be back for the start of fall camp. So glad that I can see fall camp starting soon.

That said, he needs to redshirt.

It does actually, since I also understand that Maddy's recruitment also got us a kid named Wedley Estime. Now known as Dadi Nicolas.

Thank you.

Our old rival OSU fell for the honey trap. We knew that Urban would think that if Virginia Tech wanted him he must be gold. Hehehehehe, Dr. Evil strikes again. Our September 7th plan is falling into place. Hehehehehe!

Nah, can't blame a kid for choosing what he believes will work best for him.
