yes, it is unfortunate for him that this play has been memorialized in GIF form. We can see the whole field and hindsight is always 20/20 (better than that from the stands). That being said, it's painful. I just want to see a different outcome. It doesn't even matter how the game ended. This play is on loop in front of my eyes. I want to see him take out the corner or the safety (who, in my opinion, is clear enough from Bucky to be hit without penalty and it kind of looks like Teller is the one who clips him, not wang anyway). Or go all WWE and just clothesline both of them. Anyway, it's not fair, but things always look worse when isolated and and analyzed (ever pause a blu-ray when someone's face is in focus? It's guaranteed to make the hottest actress look awful).
That being said, French has to watch the film for every sack. I'd say he has the perspective to pass a little judgement. The rest of us will just make fun of gifs.
I'll take the name change and owner change bundle package, please. Let's just get it over with and put this whole ugly last 20 years behind us.

K-work is probably a slur against Jews. I won't say it here, but there was an issue of Wolverine that was recalled because the word "killer" had been replaced with that word -- which is literally the only reason I know that word exists, and is a slur. Perhaps the w-word is the one against Italians...a acronym for WithOut Papers.
What bothers me is that you just know that there are some people really churning these politically correct issues who have no interest at all in the Washington Redskins or football. It was all they could do to find a handful of Native Americans to be the face of their "issue". Nobody was finding this name offensive until those people started getting editorials in the Washington Post and the Daily Show.
Now people are saying "Oh yea, I guess that might be offensive". When was the last time someone used the word "Redskins" in a purposefully derogatory way when referring to Native Americans?
I'm pretty sure the people hyping this could find some better use of their time.
I also object to using the trademark office being hijacked as a tool for this purpose , as their job shouldn't be the "politically correct" hall monitor. Their job should be protecting people's trademarks. Their priorities seem a bit skewed here.
Could you imagine how ungodly rich a person would be if they could trademark "Fuck you?"
Not sure he'll be able to say why things could/would be better this year other than to say it can't get worse. We're going to be counting on a true sophomore with less than 100 total snaps and have no seemingly capable backups at the position.
The other two:
1) McLaughlin getting burned with a pure speed rush off the edge on a seven step drop passing play against Miami.
2) Conte vs Malachai Moore of BC. Not good Bob.
Wang vs Boston College = absolutely dreadful.
Of all the things people get angry at Frank Beamer about, him throwing Danny Coale under the bus after that game was number 1. Even if it was his option to kick or run, take responsibility for the call instead of dumping on a kid that exceeded every expectation in the uniform playing his last game.
Yep, and as French pointed out, there are plenty of other mistakes to choose from. It looks like his job on this play is to get up the field and make sure no one gets JC from the inside. As far as I can tell, he did that perfectly, up until Bucky fell off his block (if Wang had hit that guy it would've been a 15 yard penalty, btw) and Teller did a Teller thing.
ok, I apologize in advance if this seems nitpicky, but I don't actually think that play would swing the graph as much as we like to think. For one, the game was tied at that point and it was the first half of an overtime. If it was the end of regulation, we'd have a pretty high probability of winning simply because a field goal would have meant an automatic win. As it was, our probability between the beginning of the 3rd down and the beginning of the 4th would only drop because we lost a down (which might still be significant). We did not turn the ball over and we did not worsen our field position. The graph only compares probability after (or before) each play. It does not compare the probability of "what if we'd gotten that TD" to the probability at the beginning of the next play.
Of course, if you meant the probability drop between the TD being called and the TD being overturned, then yeah that would be huge. Even then, it might be tempered by the fact that Michigan still gets the ball in good field position with untimed downs.
And, of course, we all know that the refs stole the game from us. It's very difficult to prevent a team from getting a FG in overtime, but I have no doubt we could have kept them out of the endzone if we'd kept that TD. Heck, if our strategy had been to set up a FG, you can bet that we would have spent that 3rd down getting the ball forward and centered as much as possible.

One of the Patent and Trademark Office's job is to ensure trademark's are not offensive. Nobody can trademark "F- you" or anything racist, so this is actually well within in the PTO's line of work. Copyrights are not protected by the PTO.
I think the mind was willing, but the flesh... the flesh was weak. My column is going to be about setting protection, which is the center's responsibility. I watched every sack in the Wake, Miami, BC, and Pitt games. Every sack except for 2 was either an error in setting the protection (the topic I will cover) or David Wang not picking up his man on a simple X stunt. I respect his effort and sacrifice, but he wasn't a good player.
What I said was that the word itself is not inherently offensive, is not intended to be offensive, and is not used to offend, but merely to describe. This to me is different than people taking offense. Just because they choose not to like it, doesn't mean it's bad. I don't like Brussels sprouts, but that doesn't mean the grocery store should ban them.
Spots 10 through 1 are also Bud Foster. Andy is just spreading it out to make it last a little longer.

yeah same here...I'm at a total loss on w-word and k-word. I have a guess for c-word but even then it might be a bit of a stretch....n-word I'm pretty sure I know which one they're referring to. I really want to know what the other words are but I'm also afraid to ask

am I the only one morbidly curious as to what all these are? I mean, I'm pretty sure I know what the n-word is, but the rest I can only guess. I guess that makes me lacking in the racial slurs vocabulary department
I'm guessing the most devastating play resulted in immediate points (as in, pick six or punt block for a TD) not just the chance to score points.
Or, when a very clear TD in OT is overturned because a f'n ref from the West Coast tried really hard to see this his own way instead of how they actually were, and you end up losing the game by a FG.
I know that play isn't eligible, but man, that had to be a HUGE shift on the chart if you include what the points would have done to our probability vs what it ended up being when we had to kick.
So why not blame that on Bucky whose man is the one who made the tackle to bring Coleman to the ground? Or Wade who perhaps left his assignment to get tied up on the outside, 1 yard beyond the line of scrimmage rather than block the guy who made initial contact with JC? You don't know the blocking assignments or the play call. You only know that to you, it looks like Wang isn't doing his job, when in actuality, he very well could have been.
c-word is cavalier. It's the worst thing you could call a VT fan.
