This is why I thought Paterno was to blame in the psu scandal, those coaches run the show. At Tennessee all construction schedules were approved by Fulmer and Summit so they didnt interrupt football or women's basketball. They move a power outage a week because Pat didnt want her potential recruits to experience a potential 1 hour loss of power at 2 am. At any time Beamer could have had Weaver fired. He could have probably had Steger fired. There is a reason Frank was the first person to address the community after shooting. He was the face of VT.

We didnt see Frank us the power he had because that wasn't him. But James isnt Frank, he isnt the x's and o's coach Frank was/is, but this is where he thrives, at the top motivating and aligning people. His player love him, his employees love him, but for him to compete like he wants to, he needs to run the show.

I don't understand, cricket is a better watch than baseball tbh

The public and private sectors aren't so different in that you have to manage internal politics and external communications, and they are likely to be completely different animals.

Croquet is kind of fun, because it's a sport you play, not just watch.

No, meant cricket. Ties in with the dad jokes thread.

Why was sloth racing invented?
Because some people find cricket too exciting.

Would have been better if they had gone all in on recruiting and paying assistants that could get us there.

Unfortunately, they tried to go "economical" on paying assistants, and it didn't work.

My insight as to what happened came from Kolby's Korner where he briefly touched on it and said there was some sort of talks about him coming on staff.

Which employs people he likes and pays them. Just like the Clinton Foundation was set up to employ their daughter.

UVa alums brag about UVa being mentioned more often in the Epstein files than Virginia Tech.

UVA alums don't watch LOLUVA sports, but still brag about anything positive that shows up about them on the headlines of their news feed.
