Man if we cut down the turnovers and rebound defensivrly we shut the door on them. They have 25% more shots than us right now.
We are addicted to turnovers
Nelson loves that "either run out of bounds or get a haphazard assist" play
Most of the "star" treatment for hidalgo is on defense where she should foul out of every game but wnds up with 1 foul and 10 steals instead
Hidalgo 0-7 from the field. Only points on free throws. Can we keep it up?
Up 21-14 after 1st Q. Not a bad start on the road.
Hokies shooting 58% to ND 36% but only up 6. Weird stats but hopefully they continue the hot streak
Wenzel en FUEGO!
This!! 1000%
Easily 30 points a game is she makes 40%
3s aren't her problem. Her problem is layups.
As much as Neo has dropped off, it looks to me like tired legs or some injury and it's not bad enough to keep him out. Perhaps we will see Neo getting more rest when Johnson returns. It's just such a big difference between the first 10 games and the most recent 5 games.
We got ourselves a pitching duel. 0-0 going to the third
Well I wasn't caving on acid when I wrote that, but nice gif anyway. Leg!
Mazzarone hits two batters but gets out of the inning. Going to the 2nd. 0-0
Let's go ladies! FUCK THE DOMERS!
We get a lead off single to start the game and season. But she is left stranded at 2nd. Now Mazzarone is out to pitch
Imagine how good Wenzel would be if she could finish drive with a bucket instead going in and throwing up a prayer that she either gets an iffy call or the ball falls in.
With OkSt. beating BYU last night, the paths to the tourney are dwindling if we don't add a couple of Q1 upsets to our resume. Hopefully a head to head win against Miami will help at the very least. Still hopeful that 4 wins out of our last 8 will get it done.
There was a lottery for students to get free tickets even back when I was a student.
Never had to pay for student tickets when I was there in the mid '80's; just had to get up in the morning early in the week of the game on ticket distribution day, and you showed your athletic card (and as many as 7 of your friend's cards if wanted seats together); only football sellout crowds were UVA and WVU home games (capacity was 50k); avg attendance for rest of games depending on weather was 35-43k. For the WVUU and UVA games the line started 254-36 hours earlier and was OUTSIDE starting from the Cassell entrance on Washington St and running down the street and on to what became Beamer Way.
For Basketball the guaranteed sellout games were Louisville and Memphis State); Cassell capacity was 10k; 4500 seats were student seats, and again tickets were free and lines were similar to football ticket lines.
No lottery needed,- if you wanted to go, you went(with the few games requiring your effort to stand/wait in line outside in the cold.)
At this point they are professional athletes, Basketball even more so than football. So while I agree that booing your own team is bad, he is being paid to play a sport and is failing at it.
That said, I only ever boo the refs and the other team.
To your 3rd paragraph, I've always been against boo'ing kids, and I've always classified college athletes as kids. But when you're getting paid to perform and then not performing, it gets harder to defend you...
I am sorry but Wenzel isn't a star like they talk about Hidalgo last year and this, and Clark last couple of years. That said, if she can get to the line 20 times again tonight we have a good shot at winning.

In eleven conference games, Wenzel has made 24 out of 59 three point shots for .407 which is best on the team in conference games.

its why I prefer waffles
