You don't have much fun, do you, Rocket?
THANK YOU.
At first, my reaction was:

But then, I remembered that there's 11 months until signing day, and we've got other potential commits coming in. We'll get our DB commits that we want.
DVR can do that too
Edit: I could see it was clearly a joke and not meant to actually be offensive. Upvote to keep you from losing too many legs for a joke
Only in the 4th quarter or must-win games.
I always thought verbal commitments were the dumbest thing ever. I understand they do that since football recruiting is such a seriously competitive game, but as a former recruit, a verbal commitment was just a bad decision if you're good enough. It was always basically a way to brag to others that you know where you're going and where you'll pay. Honestly, pressuring kids to make a decision this early in the process is stupid, and many do it because they're overwhelmed and caught up in the moment. It's a bad thing, especially since their Sr. season can bring so much improvement and change everything.
I love Beamer and staff, and they're better than most. But EVERY coach does this, "sign right now because I'm looking at a bunch of others that aren't quite as good, but almost as good as you, and ready to commit now, and I'm not sure there will be space for you if they commit soon."
Don't get me wrong, it's business and a very serious one, but 99.9% of recruits don't know the game, and fall victim to a coach that's been playing it for years. Glad this kid has found a way to reopen his options. Picking your college is a serious thing. If he's Hokie material, he'll be a Hokie. If not, I hope he lands where he'll be truly happy.
They literally feast on feces?
My thought is that he's trying to enjoy the process and the Hokies are still on the list. I'm not sure why anyone today would commit so early seeing as how schools roll out the red carpet for these future "student athletes". I'd ride it until signing day, and then sign with the good guys
I hate that maryland won their last ACC game but I can't help but be happy that uva lost. Even if it's quidditch or jenga, a uva loss makes me feel better
I guess the Terps didn't get the memo. Down go the Hoos, 75-69 in OT!
Yeah, we noticed that too....I thought she may have had a stroke as that one eye is definitely drooping.
Is he still considering us or just decided he wanted to go in a different direction?
Nah, I think it all this twitterbook nonsense. Information is instantly available. A few years ago you didn't know when these kids farted. Now the moment they do some Recruiting Analyst has a tweet about it.
Leg for the joke that made me laugh and some people took to seriously.
The Hokie Stone helmets were awesome and everyone at the bar thought they were cool until they noticed the seam. That single handedly killed the positive perception. I noticed it on the prototype and can't fathom how that oversight made it to the finished product.
It's available for free on the iTunes bookstore, and probably other places if you don't have an iPhone
Sure hope Teller is all you want him to be. DT and OL are really hard to project. All you have to do is look at can't miss 3* & 4* beasts like "Big" Jimmy Williams, Vinston Painter (a guy on roller skates between O&D), Matt Welsh, Clark Crum, Trip Carroll, Antonio North, Brandon Holland, Aaron Brown and Dwight Tucker. Not that these were bad young men or bad football players they just never hit the mark folks projected for them.Unless your last name is Mathews and you play at A&M I wouldn't hold my breath to get drafted early into the show.
This kid could open up a pancake shop and run IHOP out of business.
Is there something going on this year or am I misremembering this from prior years?
Their criticism of the hokie stone helmet is lame. I liked that helmet. The turkey track and foghorn leghorn helmets were a f*cking train wreck. The fighting gobbler helmets were awesome. The camo helmets are weak. The black helmets weren't us.
Does anyone know who designs our alternates?
I have confidence that we will have defensive backs at our school in future years. Hope this guy finds the right fit for him.
It is just a kid who wants to enjoy the recruiting process more. Not worried since a "commitment" this early in the process doesn't really mean much anyways.
Those are some sh*t-eating grins they're wearing

The most Freudian typo in all of college football
