He was lined up as a WR on that play. He also played some WR early in high school. He has never played TE in his life, probably doesn't know the slightest about various blocking schemes.

I think we will be ready for Ohio State, look at this year and look how well we played Bama, other than Special Teams we held our own for sure. Yeah edmunds had a great huge run and we tried to hang on and score but we couldn't. Ohio State had trouble with MSU's run this year and played awful D against Clemson. I really think we have a chance even though a lot of people don't.

Yeah we are losing Logan but maybe that will help us improve more, its not on 1 guy, its the whole team again and everyone will have to make plays. Defense's can't pack the box on 3rd and 3 or 3rd and 1 because we will have a whole new look at QB. No more QB/TE rushes for 4-5 yards

Good, good, good.

This guy has done some great things as an AD at Cincinnati. From the things I've read, he's been 'polarizing figure' at UC.

Hes been one of the most polarizing figures at UC since being hired two years ago, somehow tackled the Nippert Stadium renovation issue, and hired one of the biggest names in college football to coach the Bearcats. In short, hes revolutionized the Cincinnati athletic department.

He's a native of Harrisonburg, Va., home of James Madison, where he was a 4-year letterman for their baseball team and where he got his bachelors (He got his masters degree at WVU).
Basically, he's coming home to a familiar area, which is good.

He was also an executive associate assistant at Missouri --

He was able to set all-time highs in fundraising, season ticket sales, and department wide revenue generation while at Missouri.

All-in-all, this is a home run hire if true.
He's fairly young and he isn't green when it comes to big-time football programs and elevating the entirety of the athletic departments he's been involve with.

I am a recent grad, having been gone for about 2.5 years. I never received any notification from the HC or anything, but I still knew about it because of my dad. I don't donate anything yet because I still go to games with him, but I am considering beginning the $100 minimum payments just to start getting my "consecutive years" going.

That's definitely encouraging. I would really like to see some aggressive fundraising in Blacksburg. Getting some cash flow from our extensive fan base should work wonders for our academic and athletic departments. I have never met a Hokie who wasn't proud of Virginia Tech. With 25K+ undergrad students VT should be able to squeeze some donations from some loyal Hokie loving graduates. With how much pride VT graduates have there really is no excuse for poor fundraising IMO

Right I agree, rude and racial tweets to kids is disgusting but it happens al the time. As fans we have a good sense as to who we think is a definite and who is on the fence and an occasional tweet doesn't hurt. I think regardless the NCAA can't and will never do anything about twitter and recruiting its so low on their totem pole of things to police. haha see what i did there POLICE

I think it's the best possible hire given the names that were leaked earlier. He has big-time football experience having worked previously at Auburn, WVU, and Mizzou. He's also a Harrisonburg native so he understands Southwest VA, a plus in my opinion. He hired Tuberville at UC and that appears to be a good hire and obviously he'll end up hiring Beamer's replacement. I'm happy with this pick if it's true.

I don't think it's ever ok to tweet racial or rude comments. And once the sign the LOI, they are officially a member of your team. Not some random high-schooler who you are begging to come to your college. Way less creepy.
