That second one may give me nightmares...
I have a couple hours of cake incentivized headaches to disagree.
Also cakes being lies or not lies are easily the most played out jokes ever.
I have no problems with all these optimistic predictions as long as everyone realizes that's exactly what they are- optimism. Just don't go screaming for people's heads if we don't make it to 10 wins in the second season in a completely new offense, with a brand new starting QB and the loss of three excellent seniors (Hopkins, Tyler, and Fuller) on defense.
Week long thread about gifs and nobody has posted any from one of the better shows on TV... let me fix that

You also may want to check Lynchburg. I live in Roanoke but recently have found Lynchburg is as much as $250 cheaper and its only 45 minutes away. Go figure.
I haven't had time yet to research the competition yet but it seems that Ohio State is not losing much this year. If that is the case - they are probably ready. I am sure our coaching staff is smart enough to watch plenty of tape from the Clemson bowl game to see how to prepare on defense and to get a game plan for what we need to do on offense. First step though is to get into spring ball and see what we have! I am excited though for next season no matter what the outcome. The young players we have now and the ones coming in this year seem to be some of the most excited guys we have had in a while.
The only way I don't think JJ gets another year is the following:
1) We hire an AD before March of this year.
2) We don't win another game of basketball this year.
3) The team gives up in addition. Right now they are fighting until the game is over. They players and coaches haven't given up on trying. They just don't have the right scheme and that is something that players, time, coaching, etc can fix. Hopefully.
No question marks in starters of secondary. Backups are the only issue there. Front 4 should still be very solid with Williams and Maddy in the middle and Dadi, Marshall, Ekanem and others on the outside. RVD will return from injury, DVD will be healed up as well, Trimble and Williams will be there for LB as well as some young guys. Biggest losses are Jack Tyler and Hopkins, but we can make up that loss.

I don't know, giving us more time to prepare (for Ohio) also gives them more time to prepare. I think this whole season is going to be a nail-biter. I will wait for the 'get rid of Loeffler' and 'Is it time for Beamer to retire' threads that are sure to pop up if we don't win ten games.
That vision just made me sick. I'm all about the matte helmets with a VT logo of course, not the one worn during the RAB last year.
The role of boosters is meant to be a voluntary commitment to a school that you support, either in money or time, or both. The voluntary nature is essentially charitable hence tax deductible. If the university were to manage it could not be so.
I think better question is who IS managing the Hokie Club now and how do we get that person(s) fired and changed?
Nice predicton. Have you watched the games the last 2 years?

name me one skilled position player in the last 3-4 years that went to UVA and is doing ok on an NFL team?
Would love to jump on the optimism train with most others and scream "10-win season!" Way to many question marks to be that bold. But the reality of it is that 7-8 wins is more likely. I don't like looking at Leal as the starter. He has been in the same system Logan was for to long but maybe Loeffler has turned him around. While starting the season with William and Mary gives us a chance to break some guys in I wish that the schedule after went Western Michigan, East Carolina, then Ohio State. This way we have more time to prepare. I think the game AT Ohio State followed by East Carolina can kill this season but East Carolina also has to play at South Carolina the week before come to Blacksburg. Looking at 2015 to be the season we break out again. Either way GO HOKIES!!!!!
Ok, I am torn on my reasoning and may ramble a bit trying to explain myself.
I have always been a big fan of Logan Thomas and want him to succeed in the NFL, and maybe going to the Lions is not the best bet for him given that everyone feels he needs to develop a bit.
Mainly (other then he is a Hokie) I want him for the reasons you stated. I don't think Stafford will ever be the quarterback the Lions hoped he would be, and I, for one, am tired of watching Stafford make bad plays, decisions, and throws. Our back-up is Kellen Moore who, while great at Boise State, has not impressed me while here. I know most everyone here thinks he (Thomas) needs to sit behind an established back-up for a couple of years and learn but hey, I am tired of being disappointed every year by what I see on the field. Thomas has impressed me with his discipline and work ethic, and that is, from what I see, what the Lions are missing. The Lions have talent, they just have not been able to put it all together into a cohesive unit and I think Thomas is confident enough in his abilities that he could become a leader for the team.
Plus we have a Fuller on the team (practice squad, but hey, he is on the team).
Please explain how you could possibly think that the defense could be better?
In a TSL article, they said that the Hokie Club isn't a part of the athletic department, so the AD is technically not "the boss" of the Hokie Club.
I gotta ask...why the heck not? Is there a reason for this? That seems, you know - really, really, stupid to me. I understand that by law the VTAD and the University are financially independent entitites, so wouldn't it make sense for the major fundraising arm of the VTAD to actually be aligned under the entity for which it raises money?
To me, this explains why the HC has never really cared about fundraising. There's no incentive, because their boss isn't the one getting the results of their efforts (or lack thereof).
He is actually making a pretty shrewd point.
If you are acquiring some killer stats and highlights on an otherwise bad team, it's almost as good as putting up big numbers on a championship team so far as perception goes.
From what I recall, UVA is putting its share of players into the league.
I think 10-2 is a real possibility, of course I am extremely biased. I agree the schedule is not as bad as I expected and if Searels is the real deal I think the offense could surprise. The defense should be good or better - It would be really nice to get Nnadi and I think Holland Fisher will be a beast! Can hardly wait for Spring.
It's Friday again!

Flacco is a better QB than Tyrod. I hate to break it to you, but he's not going anywhere.
If Tyrod wants to start, his best bet is a team in dire straits like the Jaguars or Browns.
I'd really enjoy it, if Logan usurped Cam at QB1
I think the second or third play of the game was a sack-fumble, or something like that. It was right near the beginning of the game. From that point on I didn't care how rainy it was.

I don't understand the point of taking shots at an 18 year old on Twitter because he picked the wrong school.
