Shnazzy uniforms are nice and all, but I did the math, and if you added up the total cost of all the different uniforms we've purchased over the last few years, you would have exactly enough to retain an offensive line coach.

This idea is Ricky Vaughn just getting over the plate level bad idea.

Strike that. It is hiring Curt Newsome to be your head football coach level bad idea.

Liking the black uniforms makes me like a Maryland fan? What could it possibly hurt to wear black uniforms for one game out of twelve (on Black Friday)?

Spjut is so frustrating to watch sometimes, so it was great to see him get that late decision on Senior day. He was banging his fist on the mat for the last three seconds because he knew he had the win and was pumped.

Not having Carter and recently Gabel, has forced Dresser to do some shuffling, but they put in some great effort this past weekend. I hope to see Cassell packed in March for the ACCs. UVA appears to be the team it will come down to again.

As the reigning TKP Bracket Champion I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I can pull this off.

Ugh... we are slowly turning into Maryland fans.

Chicago Maroon and Orange. There is no black in the color scheme. As if the black uniform debacles against Boise State were not dreadful enough to never, and I mean ever, raise it's ugly head again.

Old, cranky, and a believer in a right way to do things. And proud of it.

UVA thought that in 2009, as did UNC in 2010, MD in 2012 and WVU last year. W&M had a really good defense last year that wore down due to injuries and had issues with mobile QBs but a terrible offense, which meant I watched the same team twice every Saturday in the fall and somehow didn't become addicted to hard drugs. You guys think watching one team win without a functional offense is tough?

It would be pretty easy to write a program for every bracket outcome (although you'd probably need more computational power than what most personal computers can supply), but then you would just have something like 9.2 x 10^18 brackets. The problem would be figuring out a way to enter them all.

From what I gather, Babcock will be the guy. Ballein definitely isn't getting it and that is probably good news for some of the third floor people, though I'm sure there will be turnover anyway since some of the people will retire this summer.

I wish the CFB world would just ignore ND until they stop acting like spoiled rich brats and actually join a conference instead of just whining about how they should be different and everyone should give them special treatment.

I remember we had a Wednesday night game in Blacksburg a few years back that I attended. Bryan Randall got picked in the endzone and we lost. Wednesday and Friday feels bush league to me like. I don't mind games on those nights if it is MAC or AAC just not VT.

The takeaway that we should get from this as intelligent VT fans.

"We're in a very competitive business where the margins between a 12-win season and an eight-win season are so small," he said.

That's exactly what we've been arguing about the past few months. A freaky play here Nd there, a different officiating call, a la phantom blocks in the back, etc.

This as he announces a 10 year, 90 million contract.

Part of running an athletic department is fixing problems where you see them. Anyone who's vying for our AD job has been looking into the state of our athletics department, if for no other reason than to help in their interview process, so they can show they know what they're getting into. They'll know that JJ was a Hail Mary hire 1.5 years ago, and will have been watching him for the last month or two. They'll be able to recognize that the program is in shambles and in need of some sort of restructuring. I also wouldn't be surprised if they already had "their guy" tabbed for it, assuming JJ doesn't pull off some kind of miracle the second half of the season.

I have never gotten the feeling that we have a bad rep among coaches. Can you elaborate on that some? I could see the argument that firing JJ after the situation he was tossed into could negatively affect the perception that coaches have about working for Tech, but I would hope that the new AD would get a pass for trying to clean up a mess that was left by their predecessor, since it seems like JJ really isn't getting much out of this team.

Except they typically go home for fall break and Thanksgiving.

I'm with you. Michael Vick used to say Vah Tech on those player introduction clips during Monday Night Football. Apparently some of our best players like to say it and I have no problem with it.
