haha i dont think i've ever seen so many missed dunks in one game, let alone from one team in one game.
That article is a bit misleading
Under London, they've been exposed by easy schedules. At least this year they know they're going to be bottom of the barrel before it begins instead of having delusions of grandeur that somehow they'll be competitive.
Im just hoping we can get better than this past season. 7-6, 8-5, maybe we could make a jump to 10 games this next year.
I listened to this on the radio. Do I need to get my hearing checked, or did the Hokies really miss like 6-7 dunks last night?
well i dont wanna look like a complete slob at work ;)
I won't lie...I had absolutely no inside knowledge about the Black Friday game prior to this topic nor did I even hear any of the "rumors" about it being a possibility. I thought it would be an interesting topic to debate in conjunction with all the demand for a Thursday night game and sans nooners. In hindsight, it is really ironic that we end up with a Friday night game after the overwhelming majority has seemed to disagree with me based on recruiting/program perception. My post even made it into one of Joe's posts. But, as some have mentioned here, Black Friday does present the opportunity for a much larger media exposure as it is not like your typical Friday. High schools don't usually play and many people like to take that day off as its impossible to work the day after consuming so much food. Regardless, its happening so we'd best embrace it and go for the #newdecadeofdominance.
I don't see how they could resist it. I hope to God they get decent announcers. I can already hear the "he's going a mile a minute", "it's a sprint to the checkered flag", and "looks like he needs a pit stop" flying around.
Note: Never mind, I'll be there in person so I guess I don't really care.
I have some family that are recent GT alums. They are your stereotypical internet tough guys. Talk a big game behind the light box, but in person are totally different.
Good news on Ford. I expected him at 180-185, needing a RS year to physically mature. If he's 195-200 by fall he might be physically ready to play. You gotta think he'll have the mental part locked down.
I think he meant in the meme
I was thinking to myself when this game first announced. Nike please no checkered flag uniforms! They will probably have checkered flag colored endzones though, i can imagine.
I don't know why this just dawned on me, but can you imagine the massive hard on Nike must have over The Battle at Bristol? They are probably working on a uniform that actually changes colors throughout the game.
Yeah, this is exactly what we need. A true freshman clamoring about what uniforms we wear. That sounds healthy for the program.
Whatever happened to the lunchpail, blue collar mentality that we hold so dear. The same mentality that shaped this program? Last time I checked, blue collar men don't give a shit what they wear to work. The only thing they care about is out-working the other guy.
Ban white uniforms they are not one of our school colors!
Didn't we learn our lesson when we lost in black unis last time? #Allmarooneverything
Then since they didn't play for a national title, our 1999 would be that same as a split with FSU, by GT's logic.
hey now lets not get crazy here.
Get off my (streaking the) lawn
Friday Day or Night in Lane Will be a Great Time. And the Hoos will be the Only Ones that will Not Like It. Sending London packing on Friday will be just fine with me, give him the weekend to job hunt !
By Late Nov. , High School football is their Playoffs. Which most of those games are on Saturday ! Be great for Recruits to see a game and not miss their game IF they are in the playoffs.
I offer you one hat to attend the game. I'm talking TF2 hat.

I'd be willing to help out too - twitter / facebook... just let me know!
