I'm sure people will end up disagreeing, and I don't think it has a shot, but it has scary potential. The teams he built at Texas Tech were largely with recruits from Texas who got overlooked. His system with elite talent could be Oregon like in my opinion.

I'm reading the book The System (highly recommended btw) anyways besides Leach not being successful/hot enough at the moment he is not a handshaking, warm to boosters type guy for the Texas job. He wouldn't be able to swing his sword the way he'd want to IMO

Thanks for the leg! Have loved reading this site for almost a year or so now. Some very solid stuff, everyone should be really proud of the conversations and info here. Hoping to make the shorter drive down to the 'Shoe next fall for OSU game. We'll see then if i've got any magic.

I believe you're missing a few linemen. As well as a whole line.

Stanford 'shop

Yup, could always use another horse on the treadmill...

see what I did there?

Keihn tweeted he'll be deciding next Tuesday or Wednesday between VT, UVA and MD. I wonder if he realizes Wednesday is Christmas.

Imagine a defense with Keihn and Minor at Lb, Walker and Nnandi at Dt and Ke Fuller and Facyson at Cb in a couple years if we get all of those recruits and everyone continues to develop

Technically, I think he could sign a contract without making an announcement. In which case, he could wait until the MNCG before saying anything.

Welcome to TKP! Here's a leg. You should really come to more games...if you're superstitious...

Interesting. Agreed that it could be worse, and I was thinking it was further than that.

But, BC and Miami are conference games we are locked into, whereas we have much more flexibility in finding a non-conference opponent. I recall that the coaches didn't like simultaneous Miami and BC away games.

My first (and so far only) trip down to Blacksburg was for the 2011 Miami game. Yes that is the one and only game I have attended at Lane, I picked a good one. I was born and raised and currently reside in the great state of Michigan so attending games comes at a premium. Anyways the experience surrounding that game will stay with me the rest of my life. Driving down that friday I set my GPS to take me directly to the stadium. After countless hours in the car we pull up and the first thing I see is David Wilson being filmed for an espn bit with his car out front. So my wife and I park, get out and as we are walking over Coach Beamer walks right past us. AMAZING first two minutes of my Virginia Tech experience. The morning after was gameday and we hit up the bookstore before the game. Tyrod was signing autographs and I got to say hi and shake his hand before he got set up. I really can't believe how lucky I was to have attended that game and to have seen those guys on that trip. BOOM! First post!

Talk about missing on the offensive line! You list one junior who is expected to leave, and three sophomores; One is a DL convert, and another is way undersized (237lbs !?).

'Missing' on the offensive line is about 6 more juniors and sophomores!

Thanks. I imagine he would stay on the offense, but it seemed like everything we knew was speculation.

As a fan of VCU and VT, VCU is both incredibly overrated and probably one of the most inconsistent teams in the nation. If they aren't struggling with free-throws, they're taking ill-advised/low-percentage shots from the floor. The idea of a Hokie victory isn't all that absurd if VT takes care of the basketball.
