Sheesh, no kidding.
And I'm curious to hear if Mihota's foot is healed. That can take some time.

You put "upset" in quotes as if it wouldn't be. It would certainly be an upset if VT came away with a W from this one.
Any word on Cequan Jefferson also signing financial aid docs since he indicated he would also come in in January?
just curious philly, but what kind of stuff will you be writing about?
yup, my grandpa stole his satellite tv for years. during the commercial breaks announcers would be cussing and talking junk and gossiping about people. it was great.
i'm a total squiggle signer. people look at it and always say 'hmm doctor's signature' and i'm always like 'yeah i'm just lazy.'
good stuff, i'm excited for all three of these guys. i wonder if marshawn can go ahead and suit up for the sun bowl?
I listen to a lot of the games as it seems I work most Saturdays in the fall. It's always fun for me to tune into the opposition's broadcasters. Miami is by far my favorite. All it takes is a small Hokie lead and out come the excuses.
I remember seeing him tweeting about staying on the OL... also he's tweeted about his winter testing and he had put up some crazy numbers, he's an Iron Hokie now and just been in the program a few months
The Gov School program still exists, and now there are about 5 different ones across the state. The one at Tech is Agriculture, there's one at Lynchburg College for Math, Science, and Technology where I met my fiancee 7 years ago, and there's one for arts somewhere and maybe another one or two around.
I don't have enough good things I can say about the Gov School. It is such an awesome opportunity for late-high-school students to get out of the house and get a taste for what college is going to be like.
What about Braxton Pfaff(sp)?
This jumps tomorrows announcement, but I thought it worthwhile to post.
Jerome Wright at FB?
December of 2006 I was travelling to Blacksburg on a Friday for some orientation-type thing for people who had been accepted after an early-decision application. Mom and I stopped at the Burger King on US 15 near C-Ville, same place we often stop. The next person to walk in the door is Tyrod Taylor, who's heading to Blacksburg for another football visit.
He recognized me from high school, and we talked for a bit. When he went to the restroom after ordering, mom asked me who it was and I told her. When he came back out, she started talking to him, and they talked for a good 10 minutes or so. Mom didn't stop talking about that moment for weeks, and still brings it up frequently.
The Texas HC vacancy is going to be responsible for a few coaches to leverage some raises.
Going out on a limb here, but I imagine Coach Jimbo will get a raise this year whether Texas calls or not.
Fair enough.
Fondue should do whatever he pleases. As bad as he seems to be, it can only help the Hokies long term.
Great write up. I am looking forward to this one. I am worried that we will come out slow since we have been off for so long. VCU just played the other night which definitely benefits the Rams.
I saw that car once, and was wondering why Gayle would have all the OSU paraphernalia. His dad went there?
Boom boom shake the room.
One of the unspoken Hokie tales. What an amazing night.
VCU looked pretty good against UVA on the road.
The 2014 Hokie BBall team will be good.
Wilson-Emelogu-Wood-CJ-JVZ. Smith as 6th man. Thompson as 1st big man in. I like.
With regards to Thompson and Kirby, just watching a practice you can see that Kirby is by far the more polished player. Thompson can run the floor better is slightly taller which is why he is getting the playing time and Kirby is redshirting. He isn't getting Byer's minutes because Byer hustles (he is a great energy guy and does the dirty work that sometimes the other bigs start to lose focus on) and knows the playbook. Thompson just looks like a deer in headlights in practice and in games.
With Raines gone next year, Thompson and Kirby will both be in the rotation with JVZ, who has improved a bit this year and I can see JJ resorting to using Kirby as a 4 against some of the bigger teams next year.
I've only watched the VCU game against Northern Iowa, but they didn't look all that great like everyone hyped them up to be at the beginning of the year. They have the potential to get ice cold with all the jumpers they take if you can defend them well. I think it will be a lot closer than I thought it would be at the begining of the year, but it will definitely be a tough contest.

I'm picturing 65k fans screaming "BUCK U!"
