It isn't the easiest footage to watch, but he does look like a very good tackler. He also looks more solid than 176 pounds. He is playing against top end talent, as Friendship travels all over the country playing top ranked high school clubs in a similar fashion to an Oak Hill in hoops.
I'm surprised by this selection but totally agree! What the heck were the writer's thinking? They obviously only watched the Hokies against the school they covered.
This is great news - looking for the next 1, 500 + RB in this group Scott will be looking for ways to get as many of these RBs on the field at once.
Anyone have any idea where to find film on him?
Nope... He wants to play RB. His HS coach said not to offer as a RB and move him to CB when he gets on campus. Our offer came in and ECU immediately changed their offer from CB to RB because that's what he wants to play.
Great pick up, hopefully this verbal doesn't reopen his recruitment..
There's something to be said for just saying, "Thanks for posting the info.," and moving on.
So far it is a great start, the offense guys will come.
We always do well in recruiting on the defensive side of the ball. I wanna see some studs on O to lol
Alfred Morris of the skins is a good example to use. He doesn't have break away speed, but no one can bring the kid down. Takes 2 or 3 guys to get him down. I think MW will be just that at Vt :)
He was to recruited for LB at tech. He just moved to rb once he got here. And it turned out to be a good move. Because he is a very good rb. I am subscribed to rivals btw

Such Hokie
Wow
If Tech starts getting really good recruiting classes, my life is going to improve drastically.
Awesome Catch
such understanding...So enlightened...many thankful (insert dog face on top of my shoulders). I had know idea, now after googling doge i really do get it. In hindsight if i had responded with "such understanding" before rather than "I understand" It would have been both clearer and funnier. My bad. Learn something new everyday, thanks for helping.
I'm going away from sports as well...hopefully it's deemed to be worth it.
At my old job, we used to vote on a Name of the Week each week. Here are some highlights (all real people): Rita Greathead, Shawn Calafaty, Bronzella Jackson, Slobodanka Wilkins, Miracle Kidd, Bruce Grewcock, Rusty Kuntz, Dick Trickle, God Shammgod, Crissmis Jones, Max Anis, and my all-time favorite: Vanilla Dong.
Nothing personal (and thanks for the edit), but it's a pet peeve of mine.
DC has a lot of good players in that class. Coach Moorehead doing work
There's no such thing as a misguided Hokie. Except for Cavaliers.
I do apologize for being such a misguided hokie
Took a break from studying for my final tomorrow to check out some of his Hudl footage.
- Looks to be a solid tackler ala Kyle Fuller (in his Don Bosco highlight, his first tackle is eerily similar to one of the low-end body launches that upend ball carriers we've seen KF17 make on a regular basis).
- Is quite good at locating the ball carrier and getting to him, even if he gets caught out of position.
- Can't tell much about his cover skills from these highlights, but on one instance in the same Don Bosco video, sticks to his man and opens his hips up towards the ball, has a smooth transition to a backpedal, locates the ball, and then attacks it.
I think he's going to make a smooth transition to the Foster nickel spot after another year of development.

Well dang
