No there are talks of Jefferson playing on offense. I think that's why we recruited the guy. I remember reading about it last yr. Rivals even has him listed as an athlete as well as espn. Espn has him as a 4star athlete

Yep. Just cuz the odds of 16 seed ULL beating 1 seed FSU are microscopic, they should still get the chance. They won a title, give them a shot. If you want Bama in there, then expand the playoff to 10+6.

IMO, by season's end the BCS Rankings are pretty accurate. It's the application of said rankings that is the problem.

I'm personally worried that a 'selection committee' will exercise some bias.

I believe a few years ago one of the formulas was 'Leaked' and wound up having a error.

I'm really excited yet really nervous for this matchup, they're ranked #17 for a reason and were a top 10 team at one point. Brett Hundley will probably be the best QB we face all year and is incredibly talented with his legs too. Jonathan McLaughlin will have his hands full with Anthony Barr, who may be the 2nd best pass rusher in the draft next to Clowney. Looks like we have our work cut out for us.

Good luck to Shane if he goes to JMU. I have no desire at this point to see him as a HC for us in the future. I realize Beamer built our program to what it is. Love him and what he has done. But he was paid very well to do so. I dont think there is any obligation to push for Shane to be a HC for us in the future because his Dad took the program to what it is. Let get the best Coach for the job like every other program strives to do. We need someone who can take it to the next level...not someone who just happens to have the same last name as our iconic coach we've been lucky to have. Havent seen anything that indicates Shane can take us to the next level. I know he is a good recruiter and would love to keep that...he is taking us to the next level on recruiting. Just like Stiney is and was allegedly a good recruiter...how did that work out for where our offense is today? Unless we can get someone who is clearly a better choice than Bud, I think he should be our next guy. I think Bud will raise the level of accountability, intensity and our teams will be more prepared consistently.

To put it in more concrete terms, this is the only game I can recall where you'd see (not that it happened, but this is pretty much how the game went):

1st & 10: QB trips on center as he takes snap. Loses two yards.

2nd & 12: QB now in shotgun to avoid tripping. Takes snap. Throws short pass. Bounces off receiver's facemask.

3rd & 12: QB no longer in game. Direct snap to running back. Running back runs towards sidelines, but stops for throwback. Receiver not there, didn't realize this was the play call. Running back throws a cross-field lateral anyway. Ball about to be recovered by defense with nothing but green in front of them and no offensive players within 17 yards, but the defender trips on ball, kicks it out of bounds, suffers game-ending injury.

4th & 31: Punter enters game even though they're in field goal range. Bad snap, punter drops ball, tackled by defense. Defense cannot recover fumble. Offensive lineman recovers ball, attempts a kick, shanks it, suffers career-ending injury. Ball ricochets off back of receiving team player's helmet, knocks player out. Punting team attempts to recover, ends up deflecting ball into end zone. Receiving team picks it up, kneels down for touchback. Safety. Coach gets fired. Athletic director resigns. The world of college football beings to laugh, hangs its head in collective shame, begins crying.
