Agree with everything except that I don't blame JJ at all for last year. He was put into literally the worst situation a brand new head coach could be put into.
Ahhh, one more week to fall further into mediocrity...
OK State I like the orange cowboys over the red horse and buggies
Baylor The Mack attack is all but over
Mizzou Auburn can't keep these miracles going can they?
Stanford is old man strong
The Chop Jaimis has been cleared and will be free to rout the Dookies
MSU Both of these teams have a propensity for keeping it close
I just wish it wasn't JMU or any school in the midatlantic.
Can't fault a guy for taking the next logical step. I'd rather not see a coincidental coaching exodus, though.
Did someone say iced?

JMO, I would greatly prefer losing Shane to JMU than Stinespring. The other side of that is Stiney deserves the job far more.
I'm really curious to see how either of them would be as a HC. I think BS would be outstanding.
Emma approves

Initially, I think it'd make me sad, but I think it would totally be for the best. I'm sure his name would come up when Big Beams eventually steps down, and I'd like to see him have been successful elsewhere before taking a chance on him.
They told me "a distinct lack of experience as an academic administrator," was the biggest reason I wasn't interviewed further.
Assuming he gets it, I think it'd be a great stepping stone for him towards a D-1A HC job. Hopefully he'd find his way back to Blitzburg later down the road.
Boykin was great at fighting for tough possessions and Coale was great at getting open. Both are sorely missed receiving options for us.
Stay put Beamer Jr!!!
As far as recruiting the 2015 class goes, it would be bad for us. As far as Shane advancing his career goes, it would be great for him. If he's pursuing any opportunities, and I don't know if he is, I wish him the best of luck.
I like these "Baby Hokies".
I see a lot of potential with a lot of these young players. I wasn't a HUGE fan of letting Greenberg go. He was a hell of a coach. He proved that, but apparently he wasn't a "program guy". He didn't get into the "Blacksburg Family". So I guess I get the move.
But JJ is the exact opposite. Nicest dude I have EVER met. I work event operations for a company that runs Coaches vs Cancer and the CBE Hall of Fame Classic. I met JJ a handful of times. Great guy, but he is he great coach? I think he can recruit, but his coaching last year was shakey. HOWEVER....I see him doing things a little better this year, so far.
All in all....Im excited in the potential of these "Baby Hokies". Players and Coach.
Go get em.
Nah, they'll skate like L$U and Auburn have.
runner-up: Grant Throckmorton. I once got way too excited when I saw him at Hokkaido.
Wasn't me...although I didn't like it.....no reason to down vote.
could have been a female Hokie...
To the person who down voted: Fvck YOU! -
If it was a fat finger - well then ok....maybe
To be "complete" in our objectivity of course
Yep fuckin A right and both blew town shortly after said talent was exhausted and everyone figured out they were just pansy ass yes men.
Yeah he used to be called Kam the Sham.
If Saban goes to Texas, it's because Alabama is about to be hit with some major sanctions.
Well, you don't expect me to let the cheese remnants that fall off onto the box go to waste now, do you?

So who would fill in as the RB coach...
