Again, though...the likelihood of a person returning a missed FG for a TD is lower than a possible pick-6 or fumble recovery for a TD.
Also, the likelihood that the 57yd FG goes through the uprights (from a kid that was kicking 60+ yard field goals in warm ups) is higher than a TD on an offensive play, without the risk of injury to RB, WR, or QB.
Would kneeling and going to OT have been better? Maybe. But it's history now.

Except for most years in the ACCCG
For sure. We haven't had a need for the Wild Turkey. Everything we need from it is in our base package. Moving forward though, it will be nice to have a change up.
...or we just steal stanford's playbook.
Maybe, but we have Malleck for two more years and Cline for three. Unless he's the next coming of Jimmy Graham and beats the other guys out, I don't think we'd get more than one year to feature him... and that would be 2017.
Make it M&O and I'll buy one

That shirt looks too red. Needs more maroon.
Skip's a senior.
Kam Chancellor
Brandon Flowers
Xavier Adibi & Vince Hall (Do they count as one?)
And on Offense,
Jeff King
Yeah, Barry Switzer did it with Jimmy Johnson's team.
In the same vein, Larry Coker won a NC with Butch Davis's team.
Yeah, ok. But still, he knows the scoop on ALL of it.
The garlic is official.
James Anderson and Darryl Tapp. Both immensely popular as people, not just athletes.
I always bring this story up, but I was at the fall 05 graduation when Tapp walked across the stage. That is still the only commencement ceremony that I've attended during which the proceedings had to stop because the person whose name was called received a standing ovation.
You couldn't stop them all day either! OSU had something rediculous like 8 yards a carry. Win the game now, and don't even give them the chance to recover.
This include the box itself?
John Engelberger would have to be on this list.
He is the standard bearer for the Legend of the Hokie Walk-on.
Kenny Lewis Jr may have to be on the list - because of all of his medical hardships, fans wanted to see him on the field.
Fair point. It all really just comes down to how conservative-risky a person is.
It would be interesting to see the percentage of 2 pt conversions that are successful, in combination with the percentage of 1st and goal from inside the 3 yd line that results in a TD on first down.
Went to school with all the Pickles bros. Good guys!
I heard he "committed" as a walk-on. Haven't seen it become the official word yet.
