I wouldn't say a lock per se, but the "he's Loeffler's guy" theory people I believe are going to be right from what I've heard. Leal will end up being the career back-up and Hodges is moving to TE.
Macho Harris, terrific guy and a good player. Brandon Flowers, Tyrod Taylor, Ben Taylor, James Anderson (still mad the Panthers traded him), John Engelberger, Andre Davis, Willie Pile, Bryan Randall.
And after having a chance to talk to him this year, Brandon Facyson is definitely going to be on my list. Outstanding guy, has his head on straight and is humble.
Oh my God! Watching Flowers line up and jack Drew Weatherford during the only Blacksburg FSU win earned him a spot.
It was easier to just keep your arms x-ed since he was doing something amazing every 5 minutes.

The biggest thing I see from the replays is that it's not a bad call to go for it there, but it was a bad play call. Looked like two shallow routes right next to each other that basically one guy covered and the ball was thrown right at him. Surprised they didn't go back to the fade to Funchess considering it's worked the majority of the season.
Grumblings I've heard is that it is might end up being an internal hire for AD and the leading candidate is John Ballein.

Not sure about the college level, but I know it's happened at the pro level. Andy Reid and John Harbaugh come to mind as having never been an OC/DC. (Harbaugh was a ST coordinator, but I think the the pros that doesnt count for much in hierarchy)

Don Strock, QB (he gave us some relevance in a Dan Henning air-raid offense)
Rick Razzano, LB (imagine Jack Tyler at 150% or the Raz in a Foster D)
Cyrus Lawrence, RB (tough as nails and your 30 plus carries per game)
Wayne Lattimer, PK (enough to say 61 yard field goal and Tech 13 - FSU 10)

If you don't have Brandon Flowers on your list, then I find it difficult to believe you have watched the last 20 years of Hokie football. Not only a great player, but so fun to watch. JC Price and Cornell Brown were so much fun to watch. Jarrett Ferguson, Jim Pyne, and Ryan Williams were on that list. Chris Drager was fun as a TE.
HATED Greg Boone. If he had blocked half as hard as he ran when he got snaps at QB, he would have been one hell of a player. Couldn't stand DeAngelo Hall or Marcus Vick. Watching them was like rooting for Eric Lindros or Jaromir Jagr playing for the Rangers. I tolerated the success, but I felt dirty cheering. Even Michael could drive you nuts (going the wrong way on the option.) Nick Marshman was on my chateau bow wow list as well.
Yeah, Teller isn't moving back to DL.

It was the right call.
Generally, teams are about 40-45% at 2 point conversions. The way their offense was running that day it may have been higher for Michigan. Their defense wasn't able to stop Ohio State at all- there's a decent chance Ohio State could have gotten into FG range with ~30 seconds left. Michigan also was without their starting kicker so field goals in overtime would have been dicey. Plus Ohio State's the better team. Michigan had a better chance of converting a 2 pointer and hanging on for the last 30 seconds (especially once Ohio State burned their last timeout) than they would have had in overtime.
wouldn't Saban to anywhere outside the SEC be good for NCAA Football in general? ESPN would have to start talking about a conference other than the SEC. Start spreading the wealth. Miles to Michigan etc. ...
Nnadi and Walker would be such a dynamic duo in the middle. Then with Szobzack and hopefully Teller moving back to d-line, I can already see it shaping up to be at least 3 all-acc dlineman. The future of Virginia Tech is very bright.
