Agree with quite a number of your points. What I disagree is with "being fortunate for 8 Ws." I know we were more than capable of 9-11. Also somewhat disagree with your comment about Edmunds. Much quicker than Humes. And I believe we need an above average offense to achieve that coveted 12th-13th W (something Beamer has never accomplished in his career as HC at Tech). I (and I'm gonna catch some shit for this) agree in part with you regarding Leal, not in comparison with LT3, but in comparison to Motley and Ford (for now). Welcome and a leg.
As a heterosexual man, I find the use of the phrases "straight arrow" and "straitlaced" offensive. Even if someone chooses to live by "rigidly proper or conventional standards" or be "excessively strict in their manners, morals, or opinion," it doesn't make it ok to use my sexual orientation to label them.

People were doing that in both Lee and Pritchard either my freshman or sophomore year. I think they were using the hand sanitizer dispensers for fuel.
Between Gray and Brown, I think the D would be fine. If Bud were to leave, I could see Wiles going with him and Brown moving to DL coach. Even though Brown is mainly coaching the Whips, he's also the assistant DL coach, I'm guessing that he's being groomed to eventually take over the DL whenever Wiles leaves or retires. And sorry for beating this dead horse again, but 60% of Shane's 10 years of collegiate coaching experience (Not sure which side of the ball he was on during his time as a GA though) has been on the Defensive side of the ball, so that gives us another .

I remember hearing about that in the 30 for 30 The U, which is one of the best in a line of great sports documentaries. His involvement with the Nevin Shapiro stuff was mentioned earlier, and he was anti-Shapiro. I believe the U was also at the top of the country in graduation metrics while he was head coach. His results on the field weren't spectacular, but read this SI article and tell me you don't come away with a different understanding of the guy than you started out with:

Kam was a bruiser, but I felt that he was a liability in coverage as a FS. I'd take DJ Parker over him at that spot...or possibly Jarrett. I'd also sub in Hall for Rouse.

No, this is how my world works: if you can say something that may hurt a group of people, or you could not, why would you choose to say it unless you intended to hurt them.
Simply saying that you didn't intend to upset someone so they shouldn't be upset is what strikes me as closed-minded and a narrow view. That's selfish, and only caring about how you feel, rather than how your words and actions affect others.

The only place I found it was in a BR "article" that sites the ESPN 30 for 30 special as the source of the rumor. The rumor was that he was paying the bounties as a player and the BR page speculatively asks if he may have done the same as a coach. But I'm with you in that I hadn't heard it before French mentioned it.
To be fair Sam Rogers and LT3 did earn themselves a touchdown worth six points.
