The Question for your answer is: "What do these men have in common?

In the meantime, does anybody know anything about McCloskey and what we can expect from her?
McCloskey was the fan favorite to replace Dave Braine before Weaver was hired.
While we all don't like him all the time, he has done some great things for our university (including running the athletic department at a profit for years, rare for a large D1 school). It's unfortunate to see his health issues forcing him to step away from a job he loves. Best of luck to you, Jim Weaver!

There's not much that I can say that hasn't already been said. As much as I gave Weaver some flak for some of his decisions, I see that he did his job well. The VT Athletics Department has done well under his leadership, and for that I thank him and the entire staff there.
Much of my professional life has been spent researching Alzheimer's, which generally also leads to a lot of reading about Parkinson's, given some similarities on the molecular level. It is a devastating disease, and I applaud his strength in continuing his work. I wish him the best in his retirement and I sincerely hope that he receives the best treatment possible to maximize his quality of life.
He has done the Hokie Nation proud. Best wishes, Jim.
Hire a celebrity from a 90s NBC sitcom and make a "The More You Know PSA commercial?
I suggest John Lithgow
you can't have multiple favorites!!!
that's like being on #teampie, #teamcake, #teamcookies, #teamicecream and #teamdessert all at the same time...that shi* just doesn't fly around here
uva has an uncanny ability to beat miami when they really shouldn't....
and if we're talking strictly ACC they're still 0-fer in that department
Miami and aTM in 2003. Sunday game vs LSU in 2002. Syracuse 1997.
Well they can't un-win a game(but i wouldn't put it past them) so they have at least two wins. With games against Miami and us, they won't win another game or maybe you're right. Though it's fall so they might beat Miami.
depends on the time...there is a possibility that a broken clock could be right only once around daylight savings
or 3 times...depending on if it's spring or fall

The only big run by a punter in an open scrimmage that I remember hearing about was by Windmuller in the fall's second open scrimmage. From Andy Bitter's blog:
A.J. Hughes had an exam, so Hunter Windmuller stepped in to do the punting. He averaged 48.7 yards on three punts, booming one 51 yards. Derek DiNardo blocked one, but Windmuller picked it up and ran 17 yards for a first down, getting the biggest ovation of the day from the crowd on hand.
I certainly remember the one in the Marshall game earlier this year though:

I can't wait until we beat them in Football again.
Yes, I believe Ford enrolls in January.
Man, I wish I could've watched!!!!
I'll always appreciate a win over WVU!!!!
After today's game against WVU, JJ just might be OK. Exciting watching the newbies. BTW, the official announcement for JW's retirement was supposed to be at a presser tomorrow. But he couldn't make it due to his condition. So, he leaked it to his buddy David Teel. Conference call this evening with Steger with all reporters wanting details.
Notice also Garland in the background. He is putting up good numbers for La Salle and I watched his game earlier in which he played great. Would be nice to have him handling the ball this year.
Not gonna act like I'm not happy that he's leaving, but it's sad that he's leaving because of health concerns. I might not like him as an AD, but there's no reason to wish anything bad on him health-wise. Hope he gets better and the hip replacement goes well.

Too many to name. I was at VT for 10 years in all, so here goes (in chronological order, because I can't choose a favorite):
1. 2003 Miami - enough said.
2. 2003 Texas A&M - hurricane!
3. 2004 WVU - the North EZ was literally quaking under us.
4. 2006 Clemson - I ran up and down my section with a friend, screaming for people to make as much noise as possible during timeouts, just to screw with Clemson. We were so nuts, my legs gave out on the walk home and had to have a friend drive me the rest of the way. I also couldn't speak for two days.
5. 2007 ECU - too many emotions, but it was a beautiful and wonderful day.
6. 2007 FSU - just a fun one, and mocking them with their chant was priceless.
7. 2009 Miami - Pickory Harris looked sad that day.
8. 2009 Nebraska - enough said.
9. 2010 GT - DW4 running that kick back was epic.
10. 2011 Miami - LT3.
