Yea I felt bad about starting a thread, but I had a lot to say and didn't want to make a super long comment. I also am not in the "hating/bench Logan" or in the "make every excuse in the world for Logan" groups so I decided to just post my own. Really just wanted to vent and see if people agreed with my take. That thread idea would work though. Say what you liked in the one and what you didn't like in the other.
Nope. Al Clark ultimately sucked (though he was QB when we #beatbama). Shaz was a pioneer, but Druckenmiller beat the horns.
I only hope that I can live long enough to see VT play an entire game without being called for a blocking-in-the-back penalty on a kick return.
He's made zero progress since he's taken over when it comes to scanning the field and making the correct reads. I really have trouble remembering times when he's made more than one read on a play. If the first option isn't open, he's running it or Favre-ing that shit into triple coverage.
Can't wait for Brandon and kyle to come back, we need them
Turkey leg for the Shaz but who the f-k was furrer?
The point is the defense didn't get any turnovers and they had opportunities. I think the "one or two more steps" should count because those are opportunities for quick change in momentum.
Many of these "drops" are passes where LT throws it way too hot or off target.
That is to be expected considering he has the most attempts by far, nearly 300 more than Tyrod and counting. He's tied with Randall for career TD's, with 300+ more attempts. Quickly approaching Don Strock for most INT's.
He had 3 incomplete passes. How does he have 5 possible interceptions? The sheer fact that the ball was even remotely caught gives advantage to the offense. There was one should have been interception that game and Exum couldn't hold on to it. There were a couple of "if the dback was two steps forward then he would of had it." but those shouldn't count towards the defenses score card. Their job isn't to bail the offense out time and time again, but to give them extra opportunities. Today the offense shot the defense in the foot.
The absolute back-breaker was the INT that he threw that was returned for a TD. He was running for his life and instead of simply sailing the ball out of bounds and trusting his defense to get the ball back for him, he lofted a wounded duck to the middle of the field off his back foot.
It was an unfathomably boneheaded decision, something I wouldn't expect from a true freshman QB, let alone a 5th year senior.
Logan Thomas has 33 turnovers since the start of last season. That's tied for the most in FBS over that span
Not going to defend the Senior leader... Can't wait for this season to end we have such promise with Ford or Bucky. Logan cost us 17 points today & that's it. If this happened anywhere else someone else would start. At this point if it's Leal's team next year give him the reps. I just can't defend Logan anymore. Experiment = Epic Fail. Here's hoping for next year!
That's it in a nutshell. It's hard to beat any team when you turn the ball over four times.
Totally agree re: Loeffler. He made some strange calls last week vs. Duke, but I thought he called a decent game against BC today.
He simply doesn't have a whole lot to work with this year.
I know it's not our style as a program, but I was still surprised that Kendall Fuller was the first 5* since Tyrod Taylor. The state of Virginia produces enough big talent that we should be able to grab some of these guys.
He's not going to be moved to TE this late in his career. For good or ill, he will be our QB for the remainder of this season.
If anyone other than Bud Foster I will literally eat my 2006 Orange effect shirt.
Yea I had that same thought after the Marshall or ECU game...that we can beat any team in the country besides maybe Oregon, but can lose to any team in the country.
There goes my optimism.
I read your forum when i first logged on and thought it was good. Unfortunately that sense of fairness does not apply to everyone commenting on the site.
Yup. I work with a bunch of GT grads after this years loss they instantly started comparing Lee to Ball.
I purposely bring Reggie Ball up in conversations just to get them all riled up.
Love that part at the end.
Jacksonville is picking him up. I can just feel it.
There's a simple solution to alleviate the booing...WIN THE MOTHERF-KING DAMN GAME!!! That being said, show respect on Sr night.

Not for a while yet. We are primarily suffering from a lack of talent. Our QB, while an imposing physical specimen, is erratic with his passes and makes terrible decisions on where to go to the ball.
Our primary RB, albeit young and athletically talented, doesn't seem to have good field vision and is prone to tripping over his own feet.
Our WRs drop too many passes.
Our TE, while he will be very good in time, is simply not strong enough yet to be a reliable blocker in the running game.
Finally, we have an OL that is simply too inconsistent in the running game.
Put all that together, and you have an offense that's ranked in the 100's.
It likely won't get better until the skill level gets better.
