That's the point though. It has to be Duke. It falls in the grouping with Temple and Miami of Ohio, and JMU. Has to be a given nobody team.

I hope he moves to TE or takes over the redzone duties kinda like Blake Bell. He is too good of athlete to not be on the field.

haha ohhh I played a lot of soccer growing up and have abnormally large calves, and this kid in my high school said that they were like goat legs and called me goat. During high school soccer my teammates find out about the it and said I played like a "goat" but in a good way and would actually use that nickname during games. Eventually it spread throughout the school. My last name is Chapman so people would call me Chappy the Goat. I embraced the ridiculousness of it and use it as an online alias.

Virginia Tech - Maybe they are just used to a noon game routine
Wisconsin - The vision of offense that Beamer wants
Michigan State - The mid-west version of current VT
Georgia - They get a few starters back
Texas Tech - Think I heard a rumor that Kliff hooked up w/ Jessica Simpson b4
Florida State - Tons of recruits there and FSU needing style points = full throttle #BEATEMDOWN

Still at .500 think this week will get me off that for better or worse

It's cause our fans are racist against white QBs

Not to bring up the past or horrible memories from the Matt Ryan era (which I remember clear as day) but...I just had to mention I went to high school with Steve Aponavicious and he never played football until he walked on as BC's kicker. He did play soccer, which I suppose explains his kicking abilities.

I have been waiting for the holy grail of football scores my whole life. This may be the best opportunity ever, 2-0 Virginia Tech. Not gonna lie here, I would be 100% happy with that score.

Not giving up on Bucky at all, but there is a...not sure if it's sizable but it's definitely vocal...part of the fan base that is already sporting enormous chubbies over Ford's HS stats. Not slamming anyone, I love seeing our commits do well too, but I'm just going to support whoever's taking the snaps.

You're right. I fully expect a very good O-line by next year and beyond. 4/5 starters + Gibson return. The depth will be much greater with Teller, Osterloh, and Chung all redshirting this year. R-Freshmen Conte, Smith, and Willenbrock should all improve greatly under Grimes tutelage. Then the "Fab Five" all come in next year (I think some may gray-shirt...). The O-line will have a renewed competition in the spring and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the current starters end up being supplanted by some of these freshmen. The future is bright, friends.

Seems to me the OL has played pretty well, with the issues being qb and rb reads. And they return 4 of 5 starter next year.

Haha. Yeah I understand that point, but do you also consider playing at Charlottesville High every other year a great recruiting tool for players in the Hooville area? Granted that's not exactly a hot bed of talent, but that's where I'm coming from.

VT had control over the W. Carolina game. Also could have had a Thur night game this year at home. There are two games at home later than noon that VT does control.

I have season tickets and did not get a chance to do the survey. Guess maybe I don't give 20,000 grand a year that's why my input didn't matter.

I think telling the players they will be playing in their own back yard, giving friends and extended family a chance to see them without having to travel to Blacksburg is huge. But that is just my opinion and I am just a simple man trying to make it in the universe.

Mentality-wise/skill-wise and if he hadn't torn his ACL, yes. Players can get hit especially hard on kickoffs (hence why some would do away with them altogether), so I wouldn't put him at risk.

I agree with that for the most part, and I think that overall our offensive scheme is better this year than it has been in the past. But that having been said, I don't think Loeffler and his offensive staff called a good game against Duke. I think that French's critique is right on the money. When the inside zone and zone stretch plays were getting good chunks of yardage, why go away from them so that your QB, who's not particularly good at it, can start running slow-developing plays from the read-option look? Also, why call for a handoff to the tailback on 4th & 6 inches when you have a 6'6", 250 lb QB??? Finally, I can't fathom why they had JC Coleman in the game down close to the goal line rather than Edmonds.

Personally, I'll be glad when Logan Thomas is gone solely because we can then remove the read-option from the playbook, or at least dial its use back considerably.
