Thought process upon seeing the article title:
BCHATE
B CHATE
BEACH HATE
WTF?!!??
Yeah, it got cold right as the clock hit :00. I loved the irony in having the tiny towels handed out before the horribly wet game, too.
I wish I could upvote you 100 times for using anything from Men at Work.
To my pleasure after lurking for a while I've shifted over to TKP instead of Reddit... I think I'm gonna like it here.
If you have ever called these guys chokies, you're not a fan.
THANK YOU!!!
This is a good part of the reason why I held off on the boards for about a day and a half or so.
I've done that before as well, but I tend to make ridiculous amounts of food and feed anyone that wanders by.
It does. I am not sure how much footspeed impacts those stretch plays or the read, but it certainly renders the true read option where the quarterback threatens the outside less effective.
I think Loeffler is doing a fine job as OC- better then what we've had in the past. When I watch the offensive playcalling, I see (for the most part, there's always exceptions when someone tries to get too cute, etc) a game plan that makes sense. I see the offense trying to set up plays for working later, or trying to attack different areas. The problem is, I also see a team that is extremely inconsistent in executing those play calls. When you're as inconsistent as our offense is, the OC is going to look bad, regardless of ability.

# | Bitter blog - ESPN's Todd McShay weighs in on Thomas, Exum, Gayle's draft stock Not trying to jump on you about it, but I just get tired of hearing people complain about the guy who will have his name next to every record other than career wins being trashed and told he's just a TE. He may not be the best QB in the nation, but he could have led us to a national title in 2011 and he's been the best QB we've had from 2011 to the present.
But you're going to get down voted by #teamcake!
Random side note, this is the first time I have ever used a hashtag in any way, and I just feel dirty.
Sometimes I wonder why that has to be a "special" part of practice. Like, the receivers will go out of their way and put in the extra effort...to work on catching passes. Isn't that the single most important thing they have to do? Why is that considered going the extra mile?
As I scroll down to the comments, I pass a large ad stating "Terry McAuliffe in bed with homosexual lobby"
I laughed.

My problem with all this student athlete's are taken advantage of talk- Every non-athletic student has to work their butts off, and most still wind up with debt anyway for their degree. These big-time college athletes get a free education, tutors, free stuff from bowl games, etc, and still complain about not being paid. Boo-hoo, in my opinion.
This doesn't apply to all the other hardworking walk-ons, athletes in other non-money making sports, etc. Kudos to them for putting in the hard work and effort both on and off the field. The big time stars could learn a lot from them.
On the play shown, it is definitely a read play where he makes the wrong read. You can tell because the tight end takes an outside veer step outside the defensive end instead of sealing him, which the tight end would do if Thomas wasn't optioning the defensive end. He was unblocked, with the tight end using the veer release, so Thomas missed the read.
If your quarterback isn't better on the read plays, and you also depend on your quarterback for pro-style passing proficiency, you can't use read plays as the vast majority of your running offense. As someone stated above, Logan took several big licks. That can't be good for effectiveness.
That Tyrone Tyler, he'll get after ya!
Name pronunciation guide is in the game notes on hokiesports.com. Obviously, the genius color commentator didn't read them. It's still not as bad as Hank Stram referring to us as "West Virginia Tech".
Noting the movies he appeared in later, this is funny on too many levels.
We have to.
I remember him talking about the Orange bowl in 2010 during the BCS show. He said, "This will feature two of the best quarterbacks in the country in Andrew Luck and Tyrone Tyler."
I thought the same thing...SMH. He needs to research the team before announcing the game. We don't need someone else like mama giraffe out there just reading the stat sheet.
Edited
I hated the lines completely and somehow went 5-1. That means I'm going to feel great about my picks this week and whiff.

No worries. I was always under the impression he didn't want to play qb but you're right, there's probably a bunch of players every year that don't want to play the position the coaches tell them to. I just jumped the gun in my post.
But I still don't think it would be wise for a NFL team to draft him for qb at the next level. I honestly don't see him playing at all in the NFL (my opinion, please don't kill me for it). That was my initial point, and I guess I should have just left it at that.
