just the vision of Matt Ryan jumping into his coaches arms after that drive pisses me off.
Knock, Knock.
Who's there?
A TKP downvoter.
A TKP downvoter who?
A TKP downvoter who just smashed a pie in the face of an LOLUVa fan.
That'll be 4 turkey legs please.

That was a horrible night!!!!! POURING rain was very bearable until that final drive. Horrible. I couldn't watch ATL after that. Now I am an NFL drifter. I cannot EVER support Matt Ryan.
I always loved the physical challenge.

I'm going to add a subcategory and split coaching into 2 parts.
Gameday coach and preparation/instruction coach.
So far, I think Lefty is a pretty good prep/instruction coach. I can see the improvement from last year.
Tough to tell gameday coach with such a short time as CO so, that jury is still out for me.
Hah, every time we don't score on our first scoring drive last year and this year I would get a text message saying something along the lines "BENCH EVERYONE OR WE'LL LOSE"
Or, in the spirit of some of the football threads:
2001, 1 to change the light bulb and 2000 to get online and analyze the pros and cons of how and why they did it.
Reminds me when Lou Holtz did our game @ ECU a couple years ago and he kept calling Tyrod- Tyrone Tyler.

# | Bitter blog - ESPN's Todd McShay weighs in on Thomas, Exum, Gayle's draft stock While he may not have grown up wanting to play QB, that's what he played and excelled at. And honestly, I don't think that this article is entirely factual considering his cousin, Zach McCray, has gone on record several times saying Logan has NEVER played TE before. While he may have been a receiver before converting to QB, he was not a TE. Logan is a team player and team players play where the team needs them and where they fit best. I didn't want to play goalie for my high school soccer team but that's where they neeeded me so I did it and got the job done. If Logan didn't want to be a QB, he would have transferred after his first year when the coaches said "hey, you're going to be our next QB." Instead he stayed and played QB, setting nearly every offensive record at the school. Just because when he was younger, he saw himself catching touchdowns instead of throwing them, it doesn't mean that he's not a QB or shouldn't have been one. Coaches are paid the big bucks to see the skills and attributes a player has and to determine where they fit on the team and how to translate it to wins. Our coaches weren't the ones that moved him to QB so if you want to say that anybody potentially took away any future catching touchdowns, it was his coaches at Brookville.
How about this as a replacement?
"5 - One to actually change the bulb and four to design a better one as a semester-long team project."
Sometimes I just randomly up vote comments hoping to better someone's day.
As far as game atmosphere is the subject.
I found out Saturday, while tailgating, that the cadets watching the parking areas, do not get a break or chow.
We fed and watered the ones close to us. He really appreciated it.
Pass that word around and make a plate for your local cadet at your next tailgate.
You can't stop playing with the JUGS or bad things happen.
I see some of that at the games but, most are very respectful and supportive.
Usually, the ones I hear that from, are even less knowledgeable on football than I am as a relative neophyte.
Sometimes fans from other teams that are near me are abusive and aggressive, at our home games. I think it's a bit of a defense mechanism though, they're surrounded by Hokie fans. I usually diffuse that a bit by noting when one of their guys makes an especially good play periodically. It usually gets some pretty funny looks at first. I find that soon, everybody gets chill and I comment that we're all there just to watch a good game and have fun.
Being nice to people, it works.
I.... I hate BC...
This is sweet. Can't say I'm happy with ours, though. Maybe that means its good
He didn't want to play qb and even voiced his opinion about it early in his career. Before his first year as a starter, I read articles that clearly said that he didn't want to play qb initially.
Here's an excerpt from an article I just found that backs me up and proves I'm not just making stuff up. I look forward to your response.
But Thomas didnt always envision himself as the man behind center.
Growing up, Ive always been told, I need to play quarterback, I need to play quarterback, Thomas said.
I knew I could play it, I knew I could lead the team. I just kind of didnt want to because I grew up picturing myself catching the ball instead of throwing it.
At Brookville High School in Lynchburg, Va., Thomas did just about everything. He played wide receiver, tight end and defensive back before converting to quarterback his junior year.
In all four years at Brookville, Thomas always felt most comfortable making plays downfield rather than behind center. It showed in the recruiting reports, too many recruiting experts tabbed Thomas as the No. 1 tight end in the class of 2009.
Edit: And you're right about not knowing what kind of TE he could have been. I don't know if he would have been good or bad. My bad for implying he would have been a good TE for sure.
That soccer bashing, it'll get after ya. Mostly kidding, I just went to your latest posts, and yeah, you got annihilated in the heat of the post-game. Personally, I'm pretty sure I've only down voted once, that being whoever broke out "chokies" yesterday I think. Everyone can have an opinion, but don't bring Wahoo-talk to this board. If you have ever called these guys chokies, you're not a fan.
Looked like the JUGS machine didn't get as much work this week as it did in weeks past
FYI, this comment completely contradicts just about everything in Bitter's article.
Yeah the slave characterization turned me off too. I'm sure we've all heard someone use that term before, too, so at this point I just read the word 'slave' and translate it automatically into 'we're being used by someone else'. Makes it easier to swallow.
All it really did was show that he had no idea who Exum was. He kept spouting out all of his accolades, but if he doesn't even know his name, it's clear he has never watched him play.
I did tweet this to Anish, who was calling the game:
@AnishESPN @ESPNU please tell your colleague it's An-Tone Ex-um. Who is Anthony Exhume?— Steven (@OhHerro) October 26, 2013
What is even stranger is that Anish was pronouncing it correctly...
Really? Zima in a flute? (joke, don't flame me.)
Shoulda offered him a piece of pie.
Turkey leg to you.

You're right. My apologies.
