As far as I know we will still be putting up one combined squad from both sections, like we did last year when we introduced the sections. Also we are on a 3 year win streak fir the Squad and at least one Eager I each year, and our candidate won the individual Iron Man competition for the Corps this week.

Well, the only way to get louder is to recruit more HT's! I know they have gotten big enough for the Corps to split them into two companies this year (man, Eager Squad gonna be AWESOME if 2 Band Co. Squads get to compete!)

I dabble on set occasionally, and play the occasional gig, but I don't play as often as I did in HS.

And sooner than I think we all expected... Chuck Clark has been summoned. Didn't even know this kid's name 26 hours ago.

VANDERBILT, because of the absence of anything resembling a defense on Texas A&M's roster, and, well, James Franklin is a pretty smart guy.

OKLAHOMA because I've picked against them twice, and I've gone 1-1 with those picks. I think they might come out with some extra desire to get back on track after their lackluster performances their last two games.

OREGON has the best offense in the nation. UCLA... not so much. It'll be a blowout.

Normally I don't like picking the team that has to use the backup QB, but here I don't have much choice. I'm going with the home team MISSOURI.

I think OHIO STATE is going to show up for this one to try to impress the pollsters. They don't have a quality win yet, after winning close games over Wisconsin and Northwestern, and this is their last chance at a dominating performance over a good team until the season finale in Ann Arbor.

STANFORD is not going to be surprised by the Beavers like they were against the Utes a few weeks ago. I think this team learned that each week may be a struggle, and they're not liable to look past this game at the Oregon team on deck.

Dozer, need help, all of the GIFs have stopped moving, and I am too IT challenged to fix it. All I see is the first frame, what have I done? Must... have... TKP... for... entertainment...AHHHHHH!

Just for poops and gigs, I was never in MV or HT...

I marched 8th grade through my senior year at Rustburg High School. Loved every minute of it. My instructor of 5 years moved on to a job teach english at Liberty University after I graduated, we were sort of his last ones per se. I graduated and took his job and instructed our drumline for 3 years. First year was rough but my last two years we one 7 out of 8 first place percussion and played pretty clean beats. Now I pretty much stick to drumset and play at two churches weekly. I love drums. I'd be in jail if it wasn't for them.

Any other drum set players?

Offense: Willie Byrn (Kalvin Cline with the Honorable Mention). He has brought a consistent target for Logan to throw to and he actually CATCHES the ball. Before his break out, our passing game/overall offense was abysmal at best. HE is the reincarnation of Danny Cole and he has been great. Love what McLaughlin is doing up front as well.

Defensive Line: Tie J.R. Collins and Derrick Hopkins: Collins has dramatically changed our pass rush. His intensity has brought life to a unit that was disappointing last year. Also, I feel like he is pushing James Gayle to reach that next gear. What can I say about Hopkins; he may be 6' (maybe), but he is controlling the line of scrimmage. Even though the stat line doesnt reflect how much of an impact he has had, he is playing out of his mind.

Linebacker: Jack Tyler (Tariq wins Comeback POY). Jack Tyler is my favorite type of player. He might not run a 4.4 (I doubt he runs a 4.7), but he is the smartest player on the field and he gives 110% on every play. He is reacting before the QB makes a decision. He is the leader and a great story. Former Walk-On, now the starting Middle Linebacker of POSSIBLY the best defense ever at VT.

Defensive Back: Kyle Fuller (Facyson and Kendall for Newcomer of the Year). Without Antone, this secondary had to STEP UP and Kyle has lead the charge. He is the most improved player on this team and might be the best Corner in the Country. His performances against Bama, GT, Pitt, UNC have been legendary, not to mention the block punt against Marshal. It is a privilege to watch this guy play.

Special Teams: #PUNTERSWAG, need I say more.

It may pain you even more to know this: I'm an MV alumni, and I wasn't even born when you graduated.

Special teams MVP: AJ Hughes, of course
Offensive MVP: Logan Thomas, all 6'6", 254 lbs of him

Defensive MVP: Yes.

One of the things that stuck out to me that game was Jimmy Graham dropping just about every pass that was thrown his way and thinking, "wow, someone is going to overdraft this complete project."

I think it's safe to say that he has done OK thus far in the NFL.

Offense: Logan Thomas
Defense: Hopkins Derrick
Special Teams: A.J. Hughes
Coach: Frank Beamer

I'm going with Frank as my MVP b/c of the coaching changes he made in the offseason. It took allot for coach to make those changes and without them we probably have one or two more losses. Instead, our offense now actually looks like one and it's only going to get better.

I love this. If you get block tickets and don't go that's bullshit. I'm in favor of, 1 rst time you get a suspension, 2 times you lose your right to buy block tickets forever. Give tickets to people that want to be there.
