I wish I could be there, but if I continue on my work stuff, I would be on my 2nd rotation, so I don't think I'll be able to make it.
Maybe someone can bring a stump and some nails/hammer for the game of "Stump?"
This seems like an awesome idea, and I wish I could be there, but life takes precedence.
Excellent Frink reference.
This is obviously an awesome picture already, but my single comment would be to place only the 'B' from 'Bud' in the chemical element box, as that would represent Boron (atomic number 5).
Thank you!
I can't help but be reminded of Professor Frink....

But seriously, nice job. I admire the LPD attitude it took to do the research, crunch the numbers, and write the post. This post puts a quantitative measurement to a trend/trends I have observed, as well. In other words, I came to the same conclusions, but didn't have the numbers to back it up.
As for LT this season, he is trending much like Tyrod did in 2009, with the incredible finish of the Nebraska game, being the turning point for him that season. He had only completed about 45% of his passes up to and really through that game. After those last two or three minutes, and throughout the remainder of that season, he was completing around 58%, I believe, thereby cementing the legend of the Tyrod we know and love and remember to this day. Logan still has time to follow in Number 5's footsteps.
You're exactly right. This is all out of our control. We just have to keep winning, or else none of this matters.
Now if I were on the team, I would look at this for two seconds and say, "Waaaaay too far ahead of things" then never look at it again. Fortunately for me though, I'm a 22 year old who has nothing better to do than think about scenarios like this because it is fun.
If you don't want to talk about this, then don't. I understand and I won't be offended. But I am enjoying this conversation and don't see anything wrong with it as a fan. Don't post on here just to criticize a conversation for happening. And again, my whole point in writing this post at all was just to show you guys how truly ridiculous it is to think we are going to make a national championship run.
Oh blueberry pie
I will leave much room for you

I think too many people are looking at this post in the wrong perspective...
A+ on the inclusion of AJ's tweet. That was the reason behind the post's title.
#PunterSWAG
Tailgate QB just doesn't understand #PUNTERSWAG.
I started using it after our 4th down QB started saying it.
#hokienation is about to freak when they see these brain buckets were about to wear this week #BeatGT #punterSWAG— AJ Hughes (@AJ_HughesVT) September 23, 2013
and some of them are ordering 100 versus 125. That's the difference between $40k and $50k just in the number ordered.
Agree that some schools are getting hosed. But some of them don't have the tv exposure that others do. We had an "exclusive" Thursday night stage for our Hokie Stone helmets, I'm sure warranting some sort of consideration also.
Well the bases seem to run from 15k to 50k with the chrome as the 100k. Still a pretty decent range:
Wendell Neal, director of equipment operations at the University of Arizona: Just ballpark, I would budget about 50 grand for a set of helmets. Now, we don't have the liquid chrome or anything like that -- those cost more.
Lester Karlin, director of equipment services at Virginia Tech: Helmets and decals run about $300 each, and we get a set of 100
Mitch Gudmundson, director of football equipment at Indiana University: For our basic red or white helmets, I'd say about $40,000. For our chrome helmets, that was closer to $100,000.
This is how you have to roll this year. You're right. The Hokies are just as capable of losing to Duke as they are of beating FSU this year.
Just got to take it one near cardiac-pulmonary episode at a time.
I am going to call into the Steve Czaban Show this Tuesday and declare that I Am So Done With - the term "Brainbuckets" not sure when this started but it has been WAY over used!
So, it's that time of the year again.
I remember having a similar conversation right before Clemson walloped us in the ACCCG when we were #3... The biggest problem is that 95% of everything that has to happen the team cannot do anything about it.
Different finishes cost different amounts. Then there's stickers, which the Hokie Stone helmets were. The more intricate the design (see ND's shamrock or Arizona State flames) the more expensive because of the multiple paintings/finishes.
ILL BE THERE! A Genesee for you, and another for you, Genesee FOR EVERYONE YAY CHEAP CRAPPY COLLEGE BEER
Someone is jacking the prices up on certain schools.
Someone needs to photoshop Crandell on Saul Goodman to complete the Breaking Bud photoshop
The best part about this discussion is that we are having it and it doesn't sound completely insane, especially after the debacle that was last season.
Lets get Duke, BC, and then the big one. I for one am very pleased no matter what happens the rest of the way and I think we have a LOT of good things to look forward to
I was also surprised to hear that Herma's Readers pays for them and then the auction gives the money (and some profit) back, the auction website always gave me the impression that every cent was profit towards the charity and the expense of the helmets came from AD budget.

Yes, Clemson has a great resume, but I think FSU wins this weekend.
