All I have to work with on new images is Paint and meme websites, so could someone Shop the various meme heads onto the '92 Dream Team heads?

I loved what I saw out of him by the end of the year. His jumper is a little bit iffy still, it either goes in or misses badly. But he has some good handles and it looked like he was really trying to imitate EG's floater at the end of the year which is one of the tougher shots to defend. And he's fast, really fast.

And on the development note, JJ seems to be really high on Ben Emelogu (freshman SG). So high in fact that the kid was named captain and was taken to ACC media day over a couple of upperclassmen. So it looks like he's the guy to watch this year.

I hear a lot about point guard, but my opinion is that Rankin is WAY better than anyone really knows. Sure he had a few TO's at times last year, but he ended as a legit 3 point threat, great defender and a tremendous passer plus explosive hops. This was a pretty highly recruited kid as in-

Say nothing of what happens to a lot of talented players who are thrown in to the spotlight after playing in the shadows. So folks don't be so quick to hate on the Hokies.

If you like basketball, I think you'll enjoy watching this team develop this year. If you just want to win, sorry, but you may want to cover your eyes.

Come in with low expectations and just hope JJ is a good enough coach to get this team playing solid basketball after winter break. We play in a tough conference so every game will be a learning experience for these guys. This season shouldn't be judged by a W-L record, but by how much we improve from November through March.

...and Hand? Offers still on the table. Playing opposite #WhosYourDadi is looking pretty good right about now...

You all have great points. But this whole conversation kind of prooves my point, there are just so many "what ifs" and "maybes" that it's just not realistic.

Our team doesn't win with style points, and while that shouldn't matter it really does. A one-loss team that scores 50 points a game but also gives up just as much (Oregon, Baylor) looks much better than we do. Even a team that has a solid defense but can still put up 28 points routinely looks better than us. Winning games 19-7 just doesn't look pretty. It's not fair but it's how it goes sometimes.

I don't think we see two SEC teams in the national title game this year, there are just no teams that dominant, but at least one SEC teams gets in so that leaves one spot left for all the other conferences to battle it out for.

Personally, I don't see Ohio State losing to anyone, they are just that much better than anyone else in the B1G. And even if they do, as long as they win the B1G, we don't get in over them as ACC champs.

Maybe I'm being to pesimistic, but that's not really my point. I'm just trying to say, let's enjoy this ride while it lasts and just appreciate the fact that we can even realistically talk about winning the Coastal. Forget the national title, forget the ACCCG (for now), just enjoy winning and let's get pumped for Duke next week.

So, it seems like we are shooting ourselves in the foot a lot, leaving points off the board.
It DOESN't seem like it is so much the design, tactics, adjustments of our offense that is the issue. (New offensive coordinator....check!)
It seems more installation, execution, and personnel.
I am impressed with how quickly/efficiently the installation has occurred-it just takes time.
The execution and personnel issues are related, (although I would still put some question marks towards our RB, WR position coaching towards execution.)
I see vast improvement coming towards us in regards to personnel: Next 2 years will our RB situation improve? Yes.
TE situation improve? Yes. Wide receiver situation improve? Yes. O-line situation improve? Hell YES. And I think that Loeffler will be a great QB coach, just worried about ?drop off next year.
These improvements should allow better offensive production to come.

Yeah, this year is oddly weird. In the bookstores they have the authentic sewn on #3 and last years what would be now Ekanem and Coleman #4.

In years past, I know they had 19, 11, 7, 99, 18, etc.

This might be a turnover to an entirely new style. No idea.

well after that 1-5 debacle last week, lets try this again...

1. Louisville cuz i'm dumb
2. Mizzou cuz i'm dumb
3. Stanford
4. aTm
5. ASU
6. FSU

I'm no french but I suspect that Derrick and Luther would go along ways towards snuffing that out as they did with the ramblin wreck's dive.

I want:

Clemson to beat FSU
Miami to beat FSU
VT to beat an undefeated Miami
VT to beat an undefeated Clemson in the ACCCG

I mean, how sweet would it be for Logan Thimas to end his senior year by getting revenge AND crushing Clemson's NCG dreams?

Not to mention what winning out what do for our ranking and recruiting..

HA! I wish I could give 10 turkey legs for this one, too funny.

I think we beat FSU in Charlotte. Florida boys don't like cold. However I think the ideal situation is Clemson beats FSU, Miami beats FSU, VT wins out, beats two undefeated teams, and I win the lottery.

French, how susceptible are we (with us playing wide and thin for extra QB pressure) to a good interior O-line and a RB that wants to slash up the gut? Question came up the other day when a friend was discussing Miami.

Missing one...Element 119, Buderium (Bu), as yet unknown chemical properties, but highly reactive.

I feel like when you run more half court sets, it is harder to get blown out, and that if you play solid defense and rebound, you can be in any game. The 40 minutes of havoc idea is a good one (personally, my favorite style to watch), but when things aren't going well, they can get really ugly, really quick, because the other team just has so many possessions to make you pay.

He gave some lip to Paul Johnson after Chop Gate as well. But yeah, only those two as far as I know. Oh, and if you want to count his new book he basically calls LOLUVA and Crybaby London cheaters.
