Almost.
Philly style ice cream is not a custard (no eggs) hence my exclusion.
All other styles are essentially a custard which is then chilled and whipped into ice cream.

But, who can deny the pleasure of a good whipping?

If FSU beats Clemson, in order for us to play Clemson in the ACC Championship FSU must lose 2 other ACC games and Clemson can't lose any. You say that Miami beats FSU, but then Clemson and FSU are tied at 1 loss with FSU winning the head-to-head tie-breaker. FSU would have to lose 1 out of NC State, Syracuse, or Wake. I get that they have sucked recently against Wake, but I don't see that happening this year. The winner of Clemson/FSU will be in the ACC Championship game.

Thank you x3.

Now who is coming with me?

In my personal opinion, there is no piece of cake or slice of pie that can stand up to a scoop (or two) of Ben and Jerry's Half Baked.

Ice cream is custard

Incorrect, ice cream is NOT custard. Custard uses egg yolks to make it thicker. Essentially it is ice cream with eggs. Some people call it French Ice Cream. Thus, custard is ice cream, but ice cream is most definitely NOT custard.

I would never refer to ice cream as pudding. Now that you mention it, ice cream pwns cake and pie, so I am not even sure what we are arguing about anymore.

I hope I just sent this argument to a whole new level.

Down with pie. Down with cake. VIVA LA ICE CREAM!

"googling 'cake eater' gives more pictures of pretty ladies than googling 'pie eater'."

VICTORY!

i think i'm going to hope for FSU to beat Clemson to continue to be highly ranked, then Miami beats FSU to increase their rank, then VT beats Miami to shoot up the polls. Then we get Clemson in the ACC championship, still dash their dreams, and we throw a wrench in BCS by beating a highly ranked MIA and probably top 10 Clemson.

I just googled this claim and I can't seem to find any association between custard and cheesecake. Please stop slandering the good name of cheesecake by calling it pudding.

Well done, man. I really dig this post being a very math minded person (engineering). Being an engineer and seeing the lowest WRE (wide receiver efficiency) at 77.7%, I'd like to see a bit more disparity between the 102.5% danny and the 77.7% Randall Dunn. It's just my opinion of course, but I'd honestly give negative credit for drops on easy receptions because, as you defined it, these are "expected to be caught by any pass catcher at any level." In addition I would give the zero credit to the should-be-receptions that are dropped, yes they require receiver adjustment, but the receiver has to make that adjustment.

I kind of want to play around with this formula now...It's just me personally but I have never liked QBR where they can get a rating of 148. Blame it on being an engineer, but 100 is best.

Generic government-bashing is always good in my book, but only when cleverly disguised and satirical. Well done, turkey leg from me, too!

UCF at Louisville -12.5 - I remember the Corps stealing a certain Knight's flag and mascot head and it's gonna happen again at...Louisville
Florida -2.5 at Mizzou - Gators
UCLA at Stanford -5.5 - This is a game where I ask if it's possible for both schools to lose but if not, I'll go with Stanford
Auburn at Texas A&M -12.5 - aTm can't stop much, but Auburn can stop less...Aggies
Washington at Arizona State -2.5 - Huskies can get this done
Florida State -2.5 at Clemson - Tigers because it's much more satisfying for them to go down against someone like Maryland

leg for the second one...

probably, but that wouldn't change catching efficiency per say. when you calculate QBR, it incorporates efficiency but not to the degree that this efficiency is calculated. If you include TD and YAC, it would become WRR (Wide Receiver Ratings)

Also for good measure:

Aaannnnnddddddd......
if Clemson is undefeated, it means that they have knocked off Georgia and USC, both highly ranked teams from the $EC. That gives the ACC some street cred this year, and beating them adds to our undefeated-besides-Bama-who's-number-one claim to climb the rankings.

I really hate politics. That being said, this was a pretty clever post so I think it deserves a turkey leg (despite the fact that I NEVER upvote anything political....but I'll make an exception here)

^ This. We would then be beating 2 undefeated teams ranked higher than if we were to beat a 1 loss Miami and an undefeated FSU in the ACC Championship. I said this in the bowl projections post, but if Miami is still undefeated when we play them, they will likely be ranked between 5 and 8. If Clemson is also undefeated, they will be ranked no lower than 3rd obviously, but I would argue that they could be ranked 2nd (assuming Bama doesn't lose to LSU and is still #1). Change the situation, if FSU wins out, they will likely be ranked 3rd when we play them and Miami would be ranked somewhere between 12 and 15 after losing to FSU the week prior to us playing. Just playing a numbers game here and it makes me hope for a Clemson win.

Perhaps then cheesecake is the olive branch that can be extended between #TeamPie and #TeamCake.

In the spirit of current events, I move that we vote to act like we resolved this, form a committee to really resolve this, and when that doesn't work, continue this fight in February. Any seconds?
