Alternate punchline:
Zero, that's what they pay the driver for.
How many other schools get jacked up for special teams plays: Lane becomes a unified wave of arms during punting situations. Do other schools do this, if they do I haven't scene it.
P.S. With the advent of Twitter, can we petition Weaver to bring the "Stick it in" Chant back? Lets go people, get that started
Your videos this year have been so epic that I'll admit that I get a bit impatient just waiting for the next one. But only because they're so good!
yeah exactly, you're translating the sabre and making them sound English. They might be pompous but English they most definitely are not. You're insulting the Englishman in me by insinuating the sabre is translated as an English person....you can't tell me you didn't read that translation with a British accent
I'm all for big OOC games, I'd rather take my shot at the champs (Bama) then play a sleeper against some scrubs at noon. I'm just saying in this case, if it is the only loss of the year (not saying it will be, lots of conference games left and a potential ACC title game), then it really stings. No one will give us a rematch against Bama, we are not LSU.
agreed...the newbies haven't partaken, but we've been down this debate lots before. I'm still a fan of the big openers, especially after this year. In fact, I think this year might have seen the biggest benefit we've had yet from playing those type of games.
The D has been hyped to the stratosphere (deservedly so) which WILL help with recruiting, we see the potential of the run game, starters are on special team return coverage again, the receivers got a TON of work after all the drops...I'm sure all around everyone on offense hustled that much harder too, including Logan. In the end we are a different team, you can't measure something without changing it say the physicists and we have certainly been measured.
(translating the Sabre, not talking about us...)
as an Englishman and a Hokie, I take great offense to this
Actually, I think they meant Dook.
Fwiw, my old boss' daughter had a presidential scholarship to UVa. 4 years, full ride. Visited, said it was too snobby, and went to Dook.
I feel like UNC is the most similar school to UVA (of course that's why you all mean by doucheville-south, yes?).
Welcome to TKP Pitt (I assume after looking at your profile) fan. Always nice to hear the opponents perspective. Turkey leg to get you started.
Bingo!
A challenge: Show me a better college football blog than TKP.
You can't. There isn't one. The analysis here is so good... Joe, French, Mason, Joelestra... These previews are so intensely good. I didn't think it was possible, but I enjoy VT football games even more now than I did a few years ago. And I love the community too, you guys.
/gush over
EDIT: Comment made before I read the other comments that also gush all over the TKP staff. Still not sorry I wrote mine, though.
Do you see what you've started, stat2012? LOL first it was Sam Rogers and now its gizoogled.
When that song plays at New Year's I get upset... Then I play the VPI Victory March through my phone and all is right once more
There should be a separate column that just does gizoogle game previews.
Exactly. If it worked, it would say Purple Drank instead of Merlot.
Actual Comment: "We're a really bad football team."
Edited: "Well I say old chap, our athletic team's performance on the pitch is absolutely dreadful. Care for some merlot?"
For some reason, it doesn't work on The Sabre. Odd.
Or the chicken version...
