See above for my flying resume. I ended my career with just over 2500 hours of accident free flying. Not a huge total, but respectable. It was loads of fun, and I miss flying helos cuz they are just a blast. Airplanes are cool, but helos rock cuz you can so much with them really close to the ground.

I flew the H-3 Sea King (affectionately known as the "Sea Pig") during my 8 years in the Navy, including Desert Shield/Storm in 1990/1. I flew light airplanes (Cessna 182/206/208/210) for 12 years in Federal law enforcement after that. Hung up my pilot spurs in 2008.

I'd go with:

I know those jerseys aren't going to make an appearance this year, but as far as having one element (jersey or pants) be orange, I go for the jersey with lots of maroon accents and pants.

Just don't dig those orange pants anytime (or orange helmets ever). Reminds me too much of Syracuse. Orange trim is cool though. White pants with stripes is sleek and fast. All maroon is mean the way our football team wants to project it.

3) They feel their academic standards forbid them from really competing with others on the field

When I was looking at Jay Payton's 247 sports page the other day he has an offer from LOLUVA, but we haven't offered him yet because of Academics.

Last game somebody section 15 threw a nerd football, hit a guy in the back of the head.
Didn't see who it was or I would have reported him.

Hokie stone helmets, Hokie stone tops, Hokie stone bottoms.

The stripe was on the pants vs ECU, but no others this season. I love the stripe too and it should be mandatory on the pants!

I respect your opinion, but I just don't think the math works. If you acknowledge that the CFA game is comparable, then we are talking about going not from $2.5mil to $20mil, but from $5million in payout to $40milllion in total payouts- $35million extra...that's a little ridiculous. Also there is a cost to turn the lights on even if you own the place which is probably not a whole lot less than just renting a facility like the Georgia Dome.

I would be shocked if the payout is that high. $35million more is a lot of beer and hot dogs. If he wants to make what they made at CFA (assuming all else near equal) then he needs over $200 pure profit per head at a sellout crowd of 160,000 people.

But the rich can be eccentric so it may happen yet.

Last minute midseason entry for MRSDOZER (sorry I am posting for her)

Louisville - "that's a lot of point but yeah, they will get them"
Pittsburgh - "I don't think we'll beat them by 10"
Oklahoma - "isn't jonny football still there, oh wait that's a&m. yeah texas isn't good this year"
LSU - "I think LSU will win by more than that"
Washington - "I have to say no to one of them so it doesn't look like I am only saying no to VT"
Texas A&M "uh huh they have jonny football"

I need to tailgate with you sometime!

orange with white makes the orange look too light--orange with maroon makes the orange look like it should. Still not a fan of the orange jersey though.

I know not many here are a fan of the orange jersey, I'm not really myself, but I think the inverse of this (maroon pants with orange jersey, keep the maroon helmet) would look really sweet. The orange jersey wouldn't look as bad with maroon pants instead of white.

Last time I checked, helicopters are rotary-wing aircraft. The Army also has a small fleet of fixed-wing aircraft for VIP transport and other duties. Plus the UAVs which can be of either type, but of course are unmanned.

Great, you can get it in fucking CHINA, but not El Paso. It's the asscrack of Texas, y'all.

Rutgers at Louisville -16.5 - Rutgers will keep it respectable
Pittsburgh at Virginia Tech -9.5 - This is much more a pick from the heart, but man do we owe Pitt an ass whooping!
Oklahoma -13.5 vs Texas - Sooner Boomer in a snoozer
Florida at LSU -7.5 - Florida can't be that good, I mean Miami beat them
Oregon -13.5 at Washington - Oregon will cover by then end of the first quarter
Texas A&M -6.5 at Ole Miss - Johnny can score a lot of points, if he wants to
