Yes but they still have talent that has been getting draft and they still have attrition. My guess is that anyone who leaves they don't include in the count or something like that.
The point of this was to show VT's grad rate higher than LOLUVa's...
Given the neck of the woods that Bristol is located, I wouldn't bet that Hokies will outnumber the Vols.
Neyland seats over 102k buy itself...and they will travel for this game. You won't have to worry about non-Vol $EC fans scrounging for tix.
Good catch...I was lazy and didn't feel like proof-reading. Turkey leg for you.
Let them hate and follow a herd mentality. Most of them probably haven't watched him play outside of the Bama game. It makes it that much sweeter when he pulls a Logan and wins. Hell I even think Logan likes having the haters to an extent. He has that confidence about him that when he does prove you wrong he just smiles and walks away cause he knows that you know that you look like an ass. I love that.
Edit: spelling
yeah me too....but...Miami is a private school. I don't know anything about private schools except they don't have to report coach salaries. I wonder if they have a different curriculum. It's possible that the players are taking classes that lead to easy-to-get degrees. Just thinking out loud here. IF that's a legit number though it is pretty impressive.
I don't know anything about this guy, but saying things like this make me happy.

# | Bitter blog - Foster doesn’t think Exum will play; Loeffler talks run game struggles If they do it that way, you could be right--I was just looking at the photo from the skins/philly game and using that to estimate.
When they were winning, number was down. Fewer wins=fewer draft picks...
And, when you have others taking the classes for you, well, it's much easier to graduate.
I guess that kills my theory.
First, I completely agree with you. But second, to an "extent". Sorry, couldn't fight that one. Please don't take too many of my turkey legs...
I call shenanigans on Miami's number. BC, Duke, WF those all seem legit, but I have a hard time buying that Miami number.
I seriously doubt this. I think they'll be hard pressed to get 160K in. Not because they can't sell tickets, but because they'll probably move the field to one end of the infield and completely block out one of the turns. I would picture a horseshoe of the track and then temp stands built up in the middle of the infield to close the shoe in.
as much as other SEC fans hate the Vols, they'll still pull for SEC over any other conference. I've seen it happen first hand
They will probably sell every ticket to it. You'd be crazy not to think that college football fans in general won't want to show up for this. I actually think there will be more VT fans since the non-Vols SEC fans will refuse to root for them. Joe, you need a TKP t-shirt booth at the entrance so we can outfit all of our new friends.
How do you get an offer from LOLUVA but not VT? I thought UVA was pretty hard to get into. Even my cousin who got her bachelors at VT was put on a waiting list to get in to UVA's medical school. She went on to graduate from UVA med and went to HARVARD for her residency. Seems UVA football is just desperate.
I wouldn't be so sure about that...I don't think they'll actually use all of the 160k seats around the track. The field will take up probably half (maybe less) of the infield. They'll probably push the field all the way to one end and use part of the stands around the track as a horseshoe. They'll probably put up temp seats on the other end of the football field inside the infield to close it in. I would imagine that one of the turns will be completely empty. Based on pictures, it looks like if the field was in the center of the infield, you're looking at probably about 70-100 yards between the endzones and the stands in each turn. That would be pretty miserable. I think that it will be close to 140-150K seats once they shift the field to one end of the infield and build up stands at one endzone.

It's actually Exum himself not rushing back to the field. From what I've read they basically are leaving it up to him and he is deciding on Thursday's if he feels ready to get back. Shows a ton of maturity on his part to hold back knowing that he isn't quite ready to perform at his ideal level. We are going to miss him next year.
and I rarely make it back to charlottesville now that I'm out of school...just Thanksgiving and Christmas mostly
it actually wasn't too bad. Didn't follow football at all growing up and I don't have any ties to loluva (except some of the kids in my high school who went there) so it wasn't a troubling experience for me. I didn't really get into Tech Football (or Tech in general) until my freshman year.
Funny how when you have to put your money where your mouth is you see someone's true character. Beamer cares about getting kids in the program and having them actually graduate. Head Ball Cop? Not so much.
Yup!
Just don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves...a lot of big news this week, but we still have to play a aPm team that has beat us 4 straight times.
I'll add - '03 #10 VT hosting #2 Miami (a game we actually won, and Beamer's only W vs. a top-5 team)

Thank you for mention the "OHs" during the National Anthem. I wish people who say it would realize we aren't in B'more and not at an O's game, therefore its not cool.
Also, the paper airplanes. Why why why?!? They are the most annoying thing ever. I remember when they first started this whole emailing your ticket to you each week and printing it out. But whoever the dumb*ss was who decided to make a paper airplane and throw it needs to be banned from Lane or some sort of punishment.
Regardless, I'm really hoping tomorrows game in Lane goes well. I want a nice big W.
