I told my son about this, and his first response was "Why would they want to play a football game at a racetrack?", to which I replied, "There are 160,000 reasons....the largest crowd to ever witness a football game....ever!" His response was, "Oh my gosh...we have GOT to go!"
Stood next to a fellow TKPer at the UNC game in East. Was awesome to joke with someone about #DDMPT when Rodgers almost stuck it in.
Goodness gracious the news media here pisses me off. Channel 11 in the tri-cities only showed Tennessee highlights and barely even mentioned Virginia Tech other than that they're playing us. Then going on to say they got another 4-star recruit this week? Well?... So did we... Can't mention that, might piss the Vols off.
EDIT: And yes, the recruiting from this is awesome! What kid wouldn't want to be involved in something like this? I noticed C.J. Reavis was talking about it on his Twitter. Poor little UVA won't get anything in the next few years to come, hahahahahhaha

Yea, this game might end up being a reason for some of the guys to stick around when they wouldn't otherwise, who knows. We also play ND that year too!
If McLaughlin sticks around, he will be a senior with 3 seasons under his belt and Teller should be starting by then too. (Assuming the Teller to OT hype is real.) Having 2 solid OT's would be so critical.
And most importantly, Sam Rogers will be a senior and will be in his final form.....

I've regularly hung a VT flag on my mailbox, but for a variety of reasons, I didn't get around to it before the bama game...didn't think of it afterward for a couple of weeks. Now that we're 5-1, I don't want to upset the mojo by putting it out.
On hokiesports.com they are auctioning off the Hokie Stone helmets. Guess that means they were a one-shot deal?
Would be fine with repeat of last week.

Like I said in the other thread, if I were Brandon Facyson or Kendall Fuller I would stick around just for this game! Haha. We have the FAB5 offense guys that we recruited, CJ Reavis, Andrew Ford... Hm.
to add to the ridiculousness of this, they should get 4 B1 bombers flying in close formation like the Blue Angels...

2011! I was at King College but now I'm at Highlands doing Occupational Therapy.
That, unfortunately, will probably never happen again as far as the Hokie stone helmets with all maroon, but I imagine we'll wear the typical maroon jerseys with white pants again, like last week.
We'll have three more recruiting classes by that time, so the true freshmen today will be seniors by then if they stick around (pray4fuller)

This never gets old! My favorite part is when the stadium goes nearly silent, and the announcer says "It's Thursday night in Blacksburg!" Wow. Just Wow.
