...I see what you did there?

I promise you, any football team with a Division 3 budget will be able to produce a better scouting report in a day then I will over the course of a week.

I would say that the team we would face in the acccg would be a reason. Not sure if we could slug it out against FSU or Clemlsun.

if they come out and play hard, i'll be happy. i dont know how many wins we'll see, but i'm a fan and it's the pre-season so i'm excited. we finally have 12 guys on scholarship? seems like it's been a while.

Yeah, the WVU game is part of the 24 hour marathon.

I can honestly say that the women might end up with more wins than the mens team. Although I said that about last year and it would have happened if Uju's knees had held up for the half of season she played. Both teams will be playing with a good amount of freshmen.

November 9th is a day that everyone should come out to: Men's against USC Upstate followed by Women's against Howard followed by Volleyball against Florida State. FSU is a top volleyball team usually so I encourage everyone to stick around and cheer on the Hokies.

stanford, northwestern, michigan, hell vanderbilt would woop their asses. and dont look now hoos, here come the blue devils!

I really appreciate the insight that you and french give the whole fan base, but I keep wondering......are those other teams researching this data to form a game plan against us? Are we our own spygate?

Stomping my way back up the big board after a 3-month hiatus ^_^

yeah i'm with you ep, there's a lot more people on the boards than there used to be. there's gonna be downvotes. life goes on.

"Smashing news, I'm glad the colonies have come around. He was a bit rough for us footballers over here so we thought we'd ship him across the pond."

So... the wahoos have a weekly talkshow in Richmond during their favorite time of the year, Football Season. "Hoos Talking" is on right before "Tech Talk Live" every Monday evening.

Things I've learned from tonight:
1) They call their defense the "orange crush" (HAHAHAHAHA!!!!)
2) They swear Rocco would be leading them to wins if he was still there
3) They feel their academic standards forbid them from really competing with others on the field
4) If they don't beat Maryland, this season is toast (probably is already)

After the Sugarbowl victory against Michigan, I looked at this Hokie team and thought, wow they could really be special in 2013 when Logan and the entire defense are seniors.

So, I'm not surprised they're doing this well in 2013, but I am surprised how poorly VT played in 2012. I am extremely proud of this defense playing up to it's potential. I am extremely proud of Logan's resiliency and work ethic, when he could have easily quit on himself and his team after that dreadful 2012. I am extremely relieved that Facyson and Kendall are better than advertised. I am extremely excited for the future and I think VT will become major contenders in 2015 and 2016.

I, for one, welcome a 7-year tenure for TimeCop, just to see what happens. If they don't get a new coach, then how can they sell 'changing the culture'? Keep TimeCop, he's just too meme-worthy.

I live in WV, so I hate them more than WVU by default. The rivalry was much more fun back when WVU was competitive, though. Now, it's just a joke. I mean, how do you give up 56 points and 617 yards IN THE FIRST HALF???

My guess is that it's part of the 24 hour marathon (I could be wrong).

As far as best experiences: Gameday/Dook game definitely #1. Can't forget Merryland '09 double-OT game, BC '09 buzzer beater, UCONN NIT game, etc. I had a really great time during the Greenberg years and it's something I definitely miss. I think he really tried to cater to the students and got them to come to the home games.
