No excuse for our offense not to move the ball on Saturday.
I can only imagine how many of these the NCAA receives. There is probably a lot of truth in it, but the culture has allowed it to the point of becoming almost encouraged.
I'll take a clean team from Tech over this non-sense any time.
As Alan would say... "Ha! Classic HorseOnATreadmill..."
What have you seen to be impressed or not with the kid? We're way ahead of ourselves on the QB thing!
I'll blame the sweat for my poor golf game. Lol, yeah I knew that was it all along. See you guys on the links around January
Bad form by the coach, but that is not how you want your senior and best defensive player to react. That sounds like a big ole "f that guy" to the coach.
Under the S... welllllll let's say Happy Valley
Can validate this point. When I golf, I sweat so much I can barely hold onto the clubs leading to poor shots.
Then again, my golf handicap is so high I have to be pushed in a wheelchair from hole to hole.
I love reading these to get a read on the opponent and to see what VT needs to do to keep pace and win the game, if not dominate.
After reading this, I'm really scared about that offense matching up with our defense (which I still have a lot of faith in). The key to this game should be the offense capitalizing on their scoring opportunities, which is possible against a porous UNC defense.
Tapley scored a TD on a return last year, and the other kid may be quicker (Switzer I believe was his name.)
Poor taste from the coach's perspective, but let's give the kid a break, two-fold: He and his teammates were publicly "dressed down" after an embarrassing loss, and while the kid's still dealing with puberty/hormones a mic is shoved in his face, I give him credit for not saying something completely stupid... Secondly, we don't need to hate (it's a bad word...) on the players. But coaches? Fair game against them and any collective of the institution.
And Foster wouldn't pull a dick move like that.
My soapbox'ed two cents...
Only applied to VT and ODU, but considered very hard applying to USCw just for that exact reason. Glad I'm not the only one.
Wow. You don't see coaches resorting to that kind of tactic unless they've gotten REALLY frustrated. Just my opinion, but that sounds like a desperate man reaching the bottom of the Barrel of Motivational Tricks.
I think Nnadi is going to be the better DT anyway! C'mon Derrick you know you want to pull the trigger for the Orange and Chicago Maroon!
Oh I agree, he's a good guy and everything. Just a tad messy
Yeah, Bill was the head coach at my high school (I graduated Peter Lalich's year, so Bryn was 2 years behind me). I also know Bryn wanted to play both baseball and football and UNC was more on board with that (and obviously he never set foot onto the baseball diamond after fall practice his freshman year).
Renner's dad, Bill, used to conduct a kicking clinic at Tech, but I think there was a falling out of some sort. I don't think he was very happy about it. Additionally, Butch Davis (UNC head coach 2007-2010) recommended Renner for the head coaching job at East Chapel Hill High School and he was "picked" over several in-state local candidates for the job. He did that until he left in 2012. He now runs a football camp in Chapel Hill called "Bill Renner Football" - http://www.billrennerfootball.info/
VT kind of still recruits one stars, and very successfully too, they are the preferred walk-ons. And Sam Rogers is their current king, after taking over the position from Jack Tyler, who is too busy tackling everybody on the planet to be in charge anymore.
I saw some excellent quickness displayed by UNC's return men. Must maintain roles and execute on ST's.
UNC plays with a much quicker pace than ECU or Marshall. Really need good production from the backup DL.
I'd love to hear one of our players say something like that about Foster. Except I wouldn't because he would probably end up dead.
Sounds like our team last year, from what Logan said earlier...
You know what Tre? Keep telling yourself that. And when Logan trucks you, you'll hear the bells ringing too.
Sam Rogers truck, Logan trailer, Boston road kill.
we STILL had more fans in ATL then UVA does at a home game...
I swear I can actually feel the spittle sometimes when I see him on TV. I wonder if they give everyone around
him towels. But I do like the guy.

I'll give you that. Just exposed to some fans and alum that said he's the future. I watched some of his HS stuff I found, and it was ok. I'm just really impressed with Ford. But I'll agree, all of them have plenty of time to prove themselves.
