I agree, I'm not impressed with Bucky.
Glennon started, Tyrod came off the bench.
A still frame of chubs with some Mr. Potato Head accessories. As you can tell by the videos, there wasn't much editing needed.
Congratulations on the adoption! Hope your frustration ends soon.
It bothers me that at the moment there are 5 teams ranked in the top 20 with one loss. ALL of them are from the $EC. Talk about a bias. I wished they wouldn't release any polls until after this weekend. Give teams 4-5 games to show what they have.
Even though he is on offense, Sam Rogers scares the sweat out of opposing quarterbacks.
Now I get it!
Best one I could think of....and I really didn't need another one.
You're actually absolutely right.
My statement (especially the sexism) was overstated. And, the reason I overstated was to nip this whole HD-Giraffe thing in the butt because it was getting WAY out of hand. While the HD thing is probably offensive to some people (especially women who don't want to be characterized by looks, but by their works), my ultimate goal was to actually let this theme die (which, was probably a failed attempt on my part).
And you're right. I owe you and the other TKPers an apology. So, I'm

The quote you reference is actually from Hank Stram, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, and it occurred during Super Bowl IV against the Vikings. NFL Films had him miked up. Stram was a quote machine like no other. His "Keep on matriculating the ball down the field, boys!" quote is a classic.
Interesting Hank Stram note: After his coaching career ended, he went into broadcasting. He was well known for his absolutely absurd and incorrect commentary. He did a Virginia Tech/WVU game and kept referring to Tech as West Virginia Tech throughout the majority of the pregame/first quarter. I think a producer finally got in his ear, and he eventually corrected it.
Poor Georgia and tOSU, the intricacies of the BCS computers....it generally works out in the end, though.
(note for spelling police, I SO wanted to put another S in 'intricacies')
It is too easy to imagine a dialog like the one below taking place before the making of this video.
"Shut up Ma, I'm making my videos. I'm important, people want to know what I think. If you can't shut up, I'm going outside...That's it, I'm going outside. You don't understand how important I am. I hate you."
Chazz, my fellow Hokie. You're missing the point. I wasn't offended by your posts man. I thought it was funny too, but that's because we are precisely not in an office environment. I know you wouldn't go around calling things "-kake" at work and I wouldn't put up a sign replacing someone's head with an animal. But if you're gonna be the sexism police then you need to know that comments don't need to be directed at anyone for it to be offensive. If I started yelling out racial slurs not directed at anyone they are still offensive.
The point is that you are done with HD posts and think they have gotten out of hand. By now, I am too and I know I was a participant and an instigator. However that doesn't mean that either one of us should be calling out others for being sexist. Everyone is venting. And just as you were celebrating the GT win, sometimes comments get out of hand. But we are on a college football website not an office, so ease up bro.
or his poodle
Thanks guys. Been a lurker for a while, but TFF's stuff inspired me to reply. TFF sorry about getting ahead of your use of Facyson. Of course if he is used a lot at receiver we may have to rethink the FAINTs and FOSTER P defensive principles anyway to account for the change!
I feel like a phrase from Whose Line would be appropriate here:
"High school recruiting... where everything is biased and the stars don't matter!"
I remember not getting past midfield until the 2 minute drill going into the half with a 7-3 lead....that held until the last 2 minutes with macho
PS it was glennon who came in, and he threw our first TD to a non TE (danny coale) of the season...nearly 8 weeks in i believe
yes Eurowx is the european model, and frankly from everyone I've talked to and my experiences thus far its the most consistently accurate particularly in the short term
#25 with a chance to move up big time beating Miami and Maryland before a showdown with FSU/Clemson in the ACC Championship game.
A couple of thoughts on this:
1. "3-Star" isn't a bad rating. There are a lot more 3-stars than 4 and 5. Roughly, there are like 25 5star recruits, 100 4 star recruits and 1,000+ 3 star recruits. If you think of 100 schools recruiting 25 kids, that means there are lots of opportunities for the 3 star kids to play meaningful roles. Why does it always seem that 3 stars perform better than 4 stars? Math. If 30% of 4stars fail, that's only 70 successes. If 50% of 3stars fail, that's 500 successes. (roughly, the distribution of 3, 4 and 5 stars changes every year and by rivals/247/espn, etc. These are rough numbers)
2. Basically, kids are given stars based on offers. Offers represent a schools ability to identify talent. The biggest budget schools have more money to pay better evaluators, so their offers account for more. Basically, you can identify a list of about 20 schools which are considered "big boy offers" (BBO's.) A kind needs roughly 3 BBO's to go to 4 star status. 5 stars have roughly all the relevant BBO's. Facyson didn't have enough BBO's to merit 4 star status. Why? Maybe he didn't camp a lot. Maybe him being smart scared off some of the dummy schools (probably not, Myron Rolle went to FSU which is an awful school).
3. Facyson has odd skills. He's got a recovery time that is off the charts, but he's not a traditional turn/run/hips corner like Kendall. He's got ridiculous ball skills, which is a skill that may not show up much in evaluations. He's got intelligence probably thrice that of most cornerbacks, which has to be an advantage but won't show up on film or in a 30 minute camp showcase.
Just be happy we got him, that's a credit to our evaluators over everyone elses. You make your hay on 3 star recruits. everyone wants the 5 stars, the 4 stars are verified, 2 stars are lottery tickets. VT doesn't even recruit 1 star kids anymore.

# | Bitter blog - With Exum and Facyson as options at CB, Foster might ride the hot hand Andrew Ford will be the guy. He's a lefty and its been too long since we had a lefty QB in Blacksburg.
+1 political science. Andy, you are the man.
Turkey leg for Emma Watson on a football board.
There is never a wrong time for Emma.
Have a snickers, bro.

It's a horrible box score to look at. Our possessions went INT, punt, fumble, INT, fumble, punt, INT, and then the first TD right before the half. Duke's last three possessions ended in INTs.
