Upvote for the weatherman :)
That really sucks. At one point the UM fans we were hanging out with left and came back 15 minutes later with beer for everyone!
Exactly, because EVERYONE knows that Vermont is a football power.
As a Hokie currently living in Chapel Hill, I'm loving this. Especially
UNC is without a doubt the UVA of North Carolina. NC State is the blue collar team and Duke, as a private school, exudes an unmatched level of douchiness that UVA and UNC can only aspire to.
That was awesome! We went out there at midnight to get our place in line.
Anyone remember chucking mini footballs at ECU's pirate on a stick when they got a little too rowdy in line?
It seems as though the private funding is making the AF vs. Navy game possible at least. Not sure your sources, but according to the news someone stroked a $250k check and now it's on.
Accidental downvote!!! Curse my fat thumbs someone upvote this poor fellow at least twice for me

100% chance it at least forms a tropical storm, looks like we might have our first chance at a legitamate hurricane for this season, going to at least get some serious rain early next week if their predictions and my predictions hold true, ill be keeping an eye on it and will get you a better estimation over the weekend
I figured. Can't help who raised you. Some people are born into UVA families, they basically have no shot at a happy life.
Not that tomato based is ANYWHERE near as bad as that. Wasn't trying to offend you, sir.
I think that was the point
This guy has fewer than 200 views on all of his videos. Where did you find him? And most of the comments are from people on other teams telling him he sucks, so I can't imagine even half of his views come from UNC fans
UNC has yet to show me that they can play a complete game. They beat MTSU...woo. They had a great first half against GT and that was it. They were never in the game against USCe due to them running from Clowney all night instead of playing their game. Now we expect Renner (who is currently battling a nagging injury) to stand fearless against Gayle, Collins, Dadi, Tyrell, MANBEARPIG, and Maddy? I have slightly raised expectations for our offense, but I know that as long as we can get a few points on the board, we have a defense that can keep their team from scoring. The only player on their team that worries me is Ebron, but he can't make every play.
Fair.
Our offense is suspect, still-I would like to see a successful rushing attack/ball control against unc.
Also, their offense is potentially dangerous.
BUT, in my mind, we owe them, BIG.
And the interviews I have watched from Gray, Wiles, etc, including Beamer confirms my feelings: as embarrassed as I was last year, the coaches were even more so.....I somehow expect a concerted effort on this one.
unc needs a VT beat down in the worst way. We don't need Fedora to start feeling all Walt Harris on us.
Forget to mention UNC has a shit ton of chicks...
New recruiting pitch idea for qbs - "Come to VT, where you'll never have to play against our D-Line on a Saturday"
Duke 2008 was by far the coldest game I've ever been to after the ECU, GT, and Furman games at the beginning of the year were the hottest I've ever been to. Hell, the Duke game had snow and ice piled up on the side of the field. No amount of layers could keep you warm that day.
I'm with you. Are we capable of beating UNC? Yes. Should we beat them? Most likely. None of that matters come Saturday, though. I hope the team is mindful of that (based on recent reporting, I'd say this is the case) and works their tails off to prepare and execute their game plan. Not too long ago, UNC was akin to Duke - it was a guaranteed win for us. Not so much any more, even if they are struggling more than anyone anticipated this year. I have a feeling they're going to come at us like a caged animal this weekend. 1-3 is not sitting well with them.
I was at that game. It was a very depressing game until Wilford caught the ball. Then it was a moment of ecstasy followed immediately by another moment of depression.

Wow, that made me angry...
Prof. Hart anybody? That man was brilliant. I'll never forget his great teaching and his daily rants against the Empo
Looks like they're each telling you that they're actually providing two reasons to go to USCw. Hint: They're just under the U and the C.

Oh, I agree, if Antone is the DB he was last year and Facyson can be top WR, I support the move. But Facyson has played better in each game this season than Antone did in his best game last season.
How long will it take Antone to return to last year's level? Can he play at the same level Facyson has been? Can the secondary maintain the same chemistry with Antone/without Facyson? If not, can Facyson contribute enough on offense to make up for the drop in quality of defense? How will this transition effect (however little it might be) his work as a DB?
If this is the best move for the team, I'm all for it. I'm NOT OK with giving Antone his spot back just b/c of seniority. This is a team sport, the team's success should come before any individual's success, no matter who that individual is.
I recognize that I could be wrong, but as an outsider looking in, I don't think this is the best move for the team, short or long term. Hope the coach's know what their doing...
Also, no disrespect toward Antone, the man is a hard worker and a great Hokie. Just a tough situation all around.
EDIT: this tweet makes me feel much better about the situation:
