His football acumen is on par with Bryant Gumble (not to be confused with Greg) and he consistently refers to us as "VA Tech" which the media guides specifically state not to call us.
Even the dumbest press member with a 5th grade reading level could get that right.
Amazing to think that was the first game of my freshman year and how much things have changed.
First, because I was a freshman and in the Corps, I'm pretty sure we were in study hours and didn't get to take in the Gameday festivities. No TVs as well, so this is basically the first time seeing most of this and knowing all that I know now I think makes me appreciate it that much more.
Also, the the landscape has shifted so much. From what I've watched so far, half the teams are probably bottom of their conferences right now and thinking about the way the season played out makes me hate Matt Ryan right now because of how much talent was on that team the possibility of playing in a title game would have made for one hell of a freshmen year.
Edit: Also, damn you Tom Rinaldi and knowing how to tug and my emotions. Over 6 years later and it is still so powerful seeing what that day meant.

Cline looks pretty good as a true freshman. We are set there. Bucky needs to keep progressing, otherwise him and Ford will have quite the quarterback competition in the coming years.

Maddy was a two star because he was iddy-biddy in high school. Wiles picked him up because his boy at Atlantic in Del Ray said to come get him and Wesley Estme, cause they were going to be good. We now know Wesley as Dadi Nicholas- The Wreaker of Much Havoc. Wesley was a no star, I think...he had only played football for about a week before he was recruited.
If there is ANYTHING to be said about this staff, it is their ability to hit on the low star guys. I wouldn't be surprised if it were discovered that more of the program washouts were the multi-star guys than not.

For those that enjoy reading garbage from cville locals with intelligence quotients in the 70's - the ROA site still publishes that crap.
Keep in mind it could have been worse. ECU suspended their starting DT Terry Williams before the UNC game. I seem to recall him being pretty disruptive in our game.

Stay tuned..the weather will change but the game should be ok....a tropical system is forming in the gulf that is expected to move up the mountains from the south but it appears to have a larger affect on Sunday.

We beat her team..she had 3 stories written about the GT win that didn't happen. Hokies are falling off, the offense sucks, and the defense wasn't very good. Yeah right, FUCK THE NECK!
He also committed in July before his senior year and was firm with it.
