We'll see how much of a tailspin Free Shoes puts Murland into this weekend...
They could be ranked in mid November, but we'll see. Would make beating them that much sweeter!!!!
Amazing what a competent coach has done with this line, particularly David Wang. Just think what he'll be able to do with players given time to mature under his tutelage?
I'm sure there are a handful of teams that have that problem in the spring/early season. But we're over third of the way through the season. Our secondary has developed a very good chemistry. IMO you put the players who give you best chance to win on the field. Regardless of age/seniority. If that's Antone, then he plays. If that's Facyson, then he plays.
By early December, we'll be back at the top. Hopefully, Maryland and Miami are still ranked when we beat them.
UCLA -4.5
Murland +14.5 (but barely...I don't see them being in this game at all...)
Miami -4.5 the Wreck will live up to their name
Auburn +2.5 The bulldog is not what they thought they were this year. Someone has to disappoint in the $EC.
Ohio State -5.5 Easy street....
Washington +6.5 U Dub!!!
Don't you feel that we should put the players on the field who give us the best chance of winning?
I love this team more and more and the Grimes effect:
Saturday I kind of got bored, Miller said. I didnt really know what to do with myself, so I ended up doing some drills by myself. But it was definitely needed for our bodies to recover. f
Also I have to say that I was critical of Wang last year, but he's proving that I was misguided since it seems he was lacking coaching and was in the wrong position. Reading things like this make me feel even better about him. Kid is a warrior along with the rest of this team:
Beamer said a lot of guys are banged up. Center David Wang snapped the ball with his opposite hand all of last week in practice because of a shoulder injury
So, for the indictments, it sounds like they want to go after the agents. But the school kinda skates by, almost like they were too naive and shouldn't be punished. If this is the case, looks like it could be a huge way out for Miami, and any future school that could pay players and play dumb, blaming it on agents. I don't like how this is headed. Seems like a weenie way out, and allowing UNC to skate by scot free.
Saw him kick 55 and 47 yarders against Radford the night before the Marshall game. I know it was off a tee. But very impressive and the kid has got a leg. He had A LOT of room on that 47...probably was kicked better than the 55.
Having 2 great kickers is a good problem. Like having 4 all conference CBs.
Yeah, the Air Force at Navy game could really be screwed! I know it's not a TV game, but hard to believe that they would cancel this thing. The plane tix and everything has to be already in place, not to mention the people that have tix for the game. Imagine the downtown area and how much they could potentially lose out on because this game isn't played. The ripples go a long way, and these kids don't deserve this.

If Byrn is hurt, more time for Meyer. They aren't going to be asking Facyson to do what Byrn has been doing. Different skill sets.
I think these are the toughest picks of the year so far, but here we go...
1. UCLA
2. FSU
3. da U
4. Ole Miss
5. Buckeyes
6. Washington
Says the guy with that avatar...
I will not get into a debate with you over this. While everyone is saying "do not go there to read anything she writes," well, the same goes for these threads. The thread title typically tells you if it is about her, so skip it. (Just like you wouldn't click on a link that says it's NSFW if you are at work, or maybe even at home.) You know what happens when anyone posts about it (either way)? It moves to the top. Its easy to ignore and bypass....just like when you go to the ESPN site, you have the ability to skip the MLB or NBA coverage, or even her posts, if you desire.
As far as being sexist against her because she is a woman. Well, I said it before, and I'll state it one more time. Incompetence is incompetence, no matter her gender. This is her job, and just because HD is a woman doesn't give her a free pass to do a crappy job. You understand that she is writing about FOOTBALL!!!!! As far as the nicknames go, whatever. If I said that Yertle the Turtle was having a great year, you now who I'm talking about. Mush mouth is trbl and hard to watch at halftimes, you know who I mean. Nick names do not stop at only females.
Most of her posts are filled with bias, poorly written, flip flop from week to week, and this is what the "World wide leader in sports" is giving us as fans as professional journalism. That's not good. Sorry if some seem to take it upon themselves to point out the downfalls or mistakes that are presented by her on a professional page where she is paid to do so. I know in my professional field if I or one of my peers were to perform (poorly) in a similar manner in our job, we would be all over the paper, tv news, blogs, etc. I wouldn't be protected from the firing squad. Neither should she.
I do agree that we don't need to link to her posts. We all know where to find it if we so decide to read them. However, the "stick you head in the sand and don't read it at all" approach is not going to change anything. I highly doubt that ESPN cares either way good or bad if we are discussing her, her posts, her insights, her bias, her absence of posting, her well-written article posted yesterday. To believe so is fooling yourself. However, if you don't like what she is writing, your thoughts need to be posted directly to ESPN or commented on her posts. That will potentially stoke change. Not discussing it here.
Read whatever football reporting you wish. Just make sure to consider the source, take it with a grain of salt, understand what you are reading and who wrote it, and form your own opinions. Cheers to all, and Go Hokies!!!!!
Dolphin browser also supports flash, and I've had no problems with it.
She wrote this on purpose in hopes of jinxing them this weekend. Intentional KOD is not cool, Heather. Not cool at all.
You know when i first heard about this I was upset. Now this could be pretty awesome. He definitely has ability to do it. Plus he has been hyped so much and is such a playmaker that if he lines up on Offense the D is definitely going to key on him which will do nothing but help our WR group.

I guess I'm not the only one after all?...;) I won't waste another post about HD I'm just saying this proves my point that this is going too far enough is enough.
I personally don't like this I understand he's athletic, but if he's playing good why take him out or share reps with Exum when he's not back to himself yet? In today's world nothing is given to anyone why is this any different? If someone does my job better then me when Im out on medical leave there's a chance that I could be replaced, if a player at the next level gets hurt then that's a opportunity for the next guy in line. If that was the case people like Tom Brady wouldn't have been who they're today if it wasn't for the opportunity he had when Bledsoe went down. I understand that this is college football. I know they want to bring Exum back slowly until he gets a feel for the game again, but honestly why take someone who's leading the nation in interceptions as a freshman and have him play a little bit of offense that's a possibility that he could get hurt.
I completely understand that they're doing Exum due diligence by allowing him reps at his spot to eventually take his spot back and I understand that no one wants to lose a spot due to an injury, but that's not how it is in the real world... But I trust Gray's and Foster's judgement that's why they get paid the big bucks.
Speaking of this, I think that opposing schools who are playing the service academies this weekend should foot the bill for whatever is needed to keep the kids playing the game. Football isn't as important as the dumpster fire that is the H.O.R. but the students shouldn't suffer because of this.
We should develop a simple little voting system for the site so that isn't necessary anymore.
Hell he can catch passes that aren't thrown near him. And he'll be able to fight for jump balls, too.

This isn't a position change. I think even if Exum is starting that they will rotate and putting Facyson at WR in a couple packages 1) adds a different type of threat (he's fast, he's taller than our receivers not name Coles, has great recovery speed, and can CATCH) 2) Keeps him on the field. Whether you like it or not Beamer will play his senior coming off an injury and given him the chance to start. Maybe he's being too loyal, but personally I think Exum has earned the right to at least get the shot at starting. Lest we forget before the season started Exum was most of this forum's man crush. Given that we will see how it all plays out.
