....I mean he's demonstrated that he has better hands than some of our receivers. That said, I know he's leading the conference in interceptions, and isn't he leading the nation too? I don't wanna see him move from defense.
WHY??? I understand getting him on the field but still.
I saw what u did there. Here's a turkey leg. Don't go spending it all in one place, meow.

Which in that case would likely be Skip to come out, as it would be an obvious passing situation. But at the same time, why in the hell would you take out a Dlinemen if we can get pressure with four on just about any team in the nation. Seems like a rushed throw would be more valuable than trying to rely on perfect prevent coverage.
It will continue into the forseeable future because as part of the ACC's new television deal with ESPN, they packaged in the third tier game rights, which most conference's retain to either negotiate a second deal, as you have discussed above. The third tier games are the ones where VT ends up on ESPN3 that previous to this deal we would have actually been on television at least and it was many of these games that would have later start times because the schedule would not be controlled by ESPN. The third tier rights are the critical aspect of this deal as they include much more than just football as they also give away all our men's basketball games as well, http://frontrow.espn.go.com/2012/05/acc-on-espn-rights-agreement-specula...
Real perserverance, true grit, an iron will comes from having to face adversity. Fighting until the final tick of the clock and believing every second, trusting the guy next to you, and coming out on top. That builds character, confidence, and faith. This team has a TON of it and it will win them games this year.
As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree.

I guarantee if Foster uses the dime, a defensive tackle will come out. He wants both linebackers because that gives him more flexibility blitzing.
However, he won't use the dime unless they are in true prevent mode.
RABBLE!! RABBLE RABBLE!!
But seriously, I'm with StLHokie, we don't need a live feed of HDs 'reporting' on here. If we really want to see poorly researched and written articles, we know where to find espn.com.
The condescension you received was due to your improper use of sarcastica, or perhaps lack thereof. It's obvious that there are differing opinions on the quality of the contract, and that's okay. You're entitled to your view of the contract, and everyone else is entitled to their view of the contract. That said, asking people if they know how a contract works in the way in which you asked could possibly be conceived as insulting to intelligence. Perhaps it was meant in jest, or even just not intended to come across the way it did, but at some point your intentions and what people were reading were not the same thing. You're correct, when we write on the internet, it can sometimes be difficult to tell what a person means, but that's why we studied tone in english class right? Not everyone is going to read the same post the same way, so it's good to be careful, especially when trying to get to basics. Sometimes "getting down to basics" appears to be "you guys can't understand this concept, and so I'm going to continue to slam it into you with more and more basic answers", especially when you're asking them if they understand you after about 20 counterarguments. Nobody here is trying to be your condescending momma, but if people perceive that they've been talked down to (whether they actually have or not), they'll do the same right back.
I told you a little recreation would do her some good....

CBS used to have a fantastic forum community, but recently they've done away with it and gone with the more ESPN commenting model. You used to be able to have entire threads with different topics on that website, and there were a ton of people that would contribute statistical breakdowns as well as plenty of trash talk.
As of now though, I get most of my information by simply watching college football and checking out twitter. I tend to watch CFB from 9am to 12am on Saturdays in the fall, its become a great tradition I find. (I'll even go out to a bar or party or whatnot and continue to watch whilst drinking...) Is the information as in depth as what the key play is able to show for the Hokies? Absolutely not, but I don't really need that sort of information about every single team. If I did, you could call me Phil Steele. Watching games and seeing how individual players perform is more than enough to educate yourself about other conferences and the landscape. Twitter is also nice at times.
I agree. This one wasn't bad at all. It only took her 4 days to write it too. Props to HD.
oh i agree. the article was actually well written with statistics and everything. i just found it funny that she once again flipped her Coastal pick
Thank you for the Fantastic analysis Mason!
I'm a fan of deep balls, just not jump balls.
If our receiver has his man beat, Logan is going to have to deliver the ball. On the 3 deep Logan INTs this year, it was just a jump ball situation and Logan shouldn't have thrown it. That being said, jump ball INTs are the best kind, because they effectively serve as a punt.
Which brings me to my next point; Has anyone else noticed that while our offense hasn't scored a lot, they haven't been serving up touchdowns to the other teams defense? The pick-6 in the opener is the lone exception this year, and came against a superior opponent. Last year our offense gift-wrapped touchdowns to LOLUVA and Rutgers to end the season. Obviously hard to win those games if your scoring less than 20 pts and spotting them an extra 7. Looks like mistakes are being minimized with Loeffler's offense this year.
Let's just not read her blog. It's cool that she's finally recognizing our defense, but it's still written terribly and like a high schooler would write. If VT loses this week she'll be on UNC. We don't need to post here anytime she mentions VT.
Actually I think she did a pretty good job on that article. She actually researched it and made legitimate arguments. I'm all for making fun of her, but I think she was pretty good in this article.
I'm a bit confused. She posted a positive article on the Virginia Tech defense and you get all up in arms?
I am all for criticizing ESPN and their fake bloggy journalism, but the argument has to have merit. This post does not meet that criteria. For me, the issue has always been the troll-like comments she makes - and to be fair, she does it to a lot of teams.
Anyway, the point is HD+VT does not always end up as a grease fire.
Except Tariq and Jack Tyler have also played extremely well so far this year... So which of those two do you bring out?
I've equated Logan's ability to a cresent wrench; You can drive a nail with it if you have to, but the preference is to use a hammer.
While we got a win against a good GT defense this week, I am worried that Logan is taking too much of a pounding running the ball so often. We should have a running game that compliments the short pass, one with fast backs sweeping outside, power backs running through the line, and only the occasional QB read or draw.
Every defense will have trouble accounting for a 260 lb RB with the option to throw on every play, but Loeffler needs to develop a running game that doesn't rely on our best passer.
GT would have the corners.....if they were the ones to sign Facyson and not VT! (cue maniacal laughter....)
I'm glad you like them

I see where there's a need for talent at wide receiver, and clearly Facyson is a gifted player (he talked about his knack for laying out for the ball in high school during this week's press conference), but the kid has been a stud at corner and leads the nation in interceptions.
I am extremely confused.
