I agree with all of you, Caleb cannot block well yet, but I am not calling for him to be in the game for pass pro, just give him some runs or some screens or swing passes and see what he can do with the ball in his hands. I understand that reduces LT's ability to call audibles if his tailback cannot block well, but Caleb can be a playmaker, and we could use some plays on offense that don't involve LT getting contact. Just saying that we need several somebodies other than LT to carry the rock, especially now that LT is getting nicked up.
Absolutely. Honestly I think more press around this helps recruiting too since there is another coach in VA that says he is develop the players as "men". While he might be, this shows that we truly are.
Just in case you may have missed it in past discussions, Weaver does not set the game time. While some frustration towards Weaver for the schedule can be justified, the days the game's are played are mostly on the ACC and the game time is on the TV networks.

Yup, I remember another play. Caleb block was trying to get a solid hit with his left shoulder, and the defender just dodged it and went over his back. Almost a rough as Colemans attempt to block on a D-lineman (I don't remember when this was in the game). The D-lineman seemed to swat JC away and had free access to LT3. Edmunds seemed to do better blocking then those two.

The good news is that my 5 yr old's soccer game continue to occur at 1230 eastern until early November. And the one weekend he didn't have a game guess what?? Neither did VT, oh but wait, their game was Thursday night. Well guess who else had a Thursday night game? My 7 yr old's 2d grade flag football league, at 730 eastern, which the refs apparently thought was the national championship because they kept saying time was still available in the game and it went 20 minutes over the one hour it is supposed to be. And of course I can't complain to my wife because I get dirty looks. Thank goodness for DVR, but still. It's somehow not as good as watching live.
