There are lots of students who are going there just for an education. They couldn't care less about VT sports in general let alone football. It's a lot harder academically to get in now than it was a decade ago. And this is just a complete generalization but the kids in high school with the highest GPAs generally cared the least about sports.
Anyone watchimg espnu? One of those knuckleheads just said we "haven't been feared in the coastal division for a couple years now". It was one season.

It's a roofed building so fans don't get wet, it's still an outdoor stadium, and it keeps in the noise. Wi-Fi is pretty great there as well. Here's a picture:

I thought that being a little slower at the mesh point was good when running the Zone Read. The announcers seem to point that out after Logan's read option TD run in the video below.
