Hey, no worries, I don't see it as a correction, moreso a rational response to my irrational desire to scream my head off whenever we're on defense

pretty sure the ACCCG will be nationally televised..and since GT won't be playing in it there will be plenty of viewers

I considered it but I didn't execute because I was certain some a-hole like me would come along and correct me.

Here's a couple legs.

is it that? or is it the sneaking suspicion this may be our only nationally televised game until the bowl game?

Yeah, that was my 2nd thought, but I thought my first thought was still worth sharing

I immediately had the same thought..then I realized that he's probably watching on TV from home...so I can kind of understand not screaming his head off while we're on defense. Doesn't help them out very much if he's 300 miles away.

i fear their d is what's gonna be the difference in the game. ted roof>al groh

Watching the Defense quietly??? You should be screaming your effin head off!

haha it especially drives me crazy when i'm at the game. plus it feels like they're running the same play over and over and just gashing us. such a frustrating game year after year.

i wanna get tanked with coach wiles and just listen to him talk shit

Just curious, but did anyone happen to notice that GT's starting OC is out indefinitely? Now, THAT injury might just be critical.

Also, did anyone notice that their starting FS (and kick return/punt return man) is probable?

lol...and wouldn't it be soo much better if we beat them in their own stadium while they're celebrating their 100th anniversary...that would REALLY irritate them.

awww poor students, try hearing that alarm go off at 4:45 every morning.

About Shai McKenzie on a free 247 article

"After tearing his ACL earlier this month, many felt McKenzie would pull the trigger and commit to Pitt as quickly as possible. McKenzie does not know yet if he will be able to enroll early, but if he does, Virginia Techs chances of pulling him are likely very slim. As it stands, McKenzie will probably end up picking the Panthers in the next few months."

That's kinda like when Blount knocked that Boise guy out (that was a hell of a punch). That Boise player must've said something, people don't just walk up to other players after the game and hit them square in the face.

Isn't that almost as synonymous with randy jackson saying "she's in it to win it!"

NCAA bylaws: http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/D113.pdf

Section 15.5.9 states the rules regarding multi-sport athletes. Sounds like, if you are primarily recruited for a sport other than football, you can "walk on" to the football team without counting against the 85-scholarship limit as long as you are only practicing. As soon as you enter a game, you start to count against the 85.

Therefore, according to the bylaws and your quoted articles, I think we should assume that he was recruited for wrestling, and that the football coaches told him that he'd be welcome to try out, and counted for wrestling during his redshirt year.

We could maybe tailgate somewhere around the center street apartments. Those parking lots that the Lions Club sells before football games would probably be pretty empty. I doubt there would be much of a police prescense over there and it's a pretty short walk.

I challenge the Seahawks thing. No doubt they're loud, but they designed that stadium to retain and reflect sound. I'd wonder how loud they'd be at Michigan, whose stadium appears to be designed to let sound escape. I've heard they're the quietest 100,000 fans you'll ever hear, and this is why. No question, the stadium design in Seattle was a great idea and it's been well implemented, but I don't give extra credit to their fans for it.
