1st point LT3 has set QB records for Tech so to say he is terrible I think is a misleading because you dont set records if you are terrible. As to your point about Glennon here is my evidence:
I couldnt find tape of the GT game where he fumbled the ball on two consecutive drives nor do i want to see that again. Nothing against Glennon. He was a game managing QB not a game winning QB.
With LT3 you have to accept the fact that he puts us in the best position to win games and that he is going to make mistakes. Personally I think he is the 2nd best VA Tech QB I have watched behind TT. I didnt become a tech fan until '04 so forgive me for not putting Michael Vick on that list or any of the other qbs there.
It really was louder with less than half the students still there. The "Lets Go" "Hokies" cheer between the North Endzone and the East stands at the end of the game was just as loud as the beginning of the game i felt.
I lost it when we ran out of the shotgun from the 1 yard line. #QBKEEPEREVERYDOWN

As someone who has to work on Saturdays it's really disappointing to see crowds and crowds of people come into Hokie Grill from the game at halftime like the game is over while I'm trying to watch the game on ESPN3 in Pizza Hut. It's like nobody cares about the game anymore. It's just an excuse to drink.
Marshall's QB led the nation in passing last year.....as a sophomore. I don't care what conference you're in, that's impressive. They're a good offense that would give any secondary trouble. I thought overall our defense played well.
Glad you were able to stay the whole game. I threw down some vitamin c and zinc after the game, I'd recommend the same if you're trying to avoid a cold.

I was so sad when Hopkins got tackled. Who doesn't love a lineman scoring a TD? We can only imagine that he has a TD dance to rival BJ Raji. And, having worked as a Rec Sports official, I'm pretty sure we could go up to the South Rec fields and find a better officiating crew.

Marshal had a SR QB with a SR wide out with NFL type talent that made plays on broken plays and ridiculous catches...Not everyone we play will be able to do that. Plus conditions were bad today...No need to hit the panic button yet

Glad someone posted something about Marshall. I'm sure people who didn't know anything about that team (ESPN), will say, wow VT must not be very good. But that team can play.
I'm glad the Marshall fans sitting around me moved of left at halftime because in the heat if the moment after we won, I might have said something that i would later regret and they didn't deserve that.
Good fan turnout for them too. Wish them nothing but the best for the rest of their season.

I'm hoping that we spent part of this week's practice time working on GT prep and that contributed to the close game.
I enjoyed the game with every rain soaked fan (the Marshall ones weren't bad at all!). It was FUN, despite the cold rain. WE WON A THREE OVERTIME GAME.
NORTH ENDZONE WAS EMPTY AT HALFTIME. IT WAS PATHETIC.
That type of Hokie commitment deserves a Turkey Leg.
Now if you could just stop rooting for the Braves.....
I see your point...most of us on this site are much better fans than those that left before or at halftime in NEZ, but I am kind of sick of hearing about this too..this is just typical these days. The fans that were there MORE than made up for the bandwagon riders that were not there
