Guys, ...hey guys, listen..

I have a confession..

I drank too much whiskey.. and I missed the ENTIRE second half of the game :(

I woke up in a full on panic and
JUST discovered that we won in triple OT. I'm so sad.

I said in the game thread that whoever called that they had holes on their punt protection should get a gold star. Congratulations.

I stood out there all game and got soaked and had a great time. If half the students left that's their prerogative. I'm not going to begrudge someone for their decisions on supporting the football team.

I think that Jarrett will play but I'm not sure about Edmunds, however Coleman should play which is good news.

idk if anything will beat Nebraska 09. It was literally deafening.

Thanks bro! Wish I could give you more than a turkey leg. Bravo Zulu!

It's just so sad. But it really doesn't surprise me that the stadium was just as loud, if not louder, than before all the fairweathers left. Yeah, it's Marshall, and most were expecting a much wider margin of victory. But if your team is struggling, they need your help, and leaving at halftime is doing the opposite.

What I was most ecstatic about though was that the fans left over actually started yelling on fourth down and not doing this "Block that shit" crap. Usually I'm the only one I can hear yelling, but for that field goal block, everyone was loud before the snap and it was GLORIOUS.

*yawn* In other news, we won. I'm kinda sick of this constant ranting over the quality of the NEZ. Need to get over yourselves and stop worrying about what other people are doing.

I think the salient point is that fans in the NEZ are very visible and their departure looked really bad in the OT periods when they were the only ones that the TV angles were showing most of the time (thanks ESPN.) A half-empty looking NEZ in a tense OT game is really disgraceful. Yeah the rain is uncomfortable, but those of us who didn't miss any games as students back in the day feel insulted by fair-weather fans making our proud VT look bad on TV. Anyway, that's how I felt, and a lot of others too. Wish I could have been there, but not possible being overseas. Many thanks to you faithful fans who stood in the rain and hollered all afternoon.

Go Hokies, Beat the Bees!

Louder than Miami 2011? You're kidding yourself. Not even close. Today was nice, and the true fans stuck around, but nah, not even close to Miami 2011 or Nebraska in 09.

I agree, yeah its a problem, but they're really just preaching to the choir. my ass was in NEZ the entire time, going bananas.

Where might a TKP-er find the clip of AJ Hughes getting the first down?

Guys, guys, guys...

The only reason today's game sucked was because I was denied a game winning, well-deserved, defensive, fat boy run the fumble back for 70 yards and the TD. And the accompanying fat boy (NCAA approved) celebration.

We'll get better. Drink more bourbon and DRINK IN THE W! GO HOKIES!

I sat through that entire game in North in a t shirt and shorts. Do I probably have pneumonia? Yep. Was it worth it? HELL YES

We will beat GT is Jarrett and Edmunds are good to go. Two very important players for that game.

And MV7 said he never learned how to protect the football from fumbles until Chip Kelly taught him. And he's a long time professional. No one @ Warwick, VT, Atl, or Philly until Kelly.... just sayin, there are excuses and then there are reasons.

Are we really bemoaning this again? Find something else to talk about.

Oh, and by the way, Lane was louder than I've ever witnessed before. Louder than Miami 2011.

Just stop it. Enough is enough

Most definitely. Again, I'm a Logan supporter. Just think he has a ceiling as far as this season is concerned.

I think this describes the underlying issue. Why was LT our best QB? Because the offensive staff didn't recruit adequately. Because of the inept staff, LT has not been taught progressions, he has not been taught proper mechanics, nor has he been taught how to stare down a safety or adequately read coverages and call the correct audibles. I think, and have always thought, LT's potential was through the roof, but with an inept staff, it seems that recruiting Tahj Boyd harder, and moving LT to TE would have been more intelligent.

The staff we have now is recruiting hard, coaching the best they can and we, as a fan base, have to sit back and do the best we can to support them. I want instant success just like anyone else, and heck..we are 3-1 so who knows what this season entails? but the bottom line is that we have years ahead to look forward to better recruiting, an established offensive system and sound coaching.
