The play calling was infuriating. The read option just wasnt working but we kept at it. The downhill running was working but we didn't do it hardly at all. We had more drops which also hurt us

All reports from Coaches and Players are that Thomas has been a good leader this season.
Well, those are nice in their own right. But in terms of our guys' mental state going into conference play, I think the outcome of this game should leave them in a better place than if they had beaten up on someone. You must earn every win. Play well in all aspects of the game, and when one part of the team falters, the others must pick up the slack. Grit it out when you have to. Now let's just hope the guys that got dinged up are better by Thursday, because we need all hands on deck.

In my experience the amount of people who irrationally hate Logan Thomas is far higher then those who irrationally defend him.
Almost everyone recognizes that Thomas isn't going to carry the team on his back to "flawless offensive execution" heaven. However, many do accept that despite his flaws there are things that Thomas can do that no one else on the roster can, and because of those gifts they argue that he is the QB that gives Tech the best chance to win.
Tech is going to face a lot of 3rd and longs this season because of the inconsistency of blocking up front and because of the inconsistency of WR playmaking. I'd put my money on Logan Thomas making a 3rd and long completion over Mark Leal.
I think I would have rathered a nice 60-10 game where we look like a well oil machine instead of the Tin man rusting in the rain

I agree 100%. Sometimes the best games are the ones we struggle through, hoping that our team pulls it out. Our guys showed a lot of fight today, and even though there are a lot of negatives in the play-calling and execution, there are a lot of positives and our guys played as a team when they needed to.

Call bullshit on me all you like, but that's just what I've seen. We have no evidence Leal will be better. For the record, I think he is talented and I look forward to him getting his long-deserved chance next year.
