I'm another student that cared nothing for college football until I came to Tech back in '11. But after I went to the first game that year, I was hooked and have been ever since. I haven't missed a game since I've been here (I know, only 2 years going on 3 but still) and I've stayed for each and every second yelling my head off. From the high of beating Miami in '11 to the low of the late pick against FSU last year. From the blowouts against the teams like WCU to the hold-your-breath-gimme-this-one-stick-it-in games like the GT opener. I was disgusted with how empty north was after halftime against WCU. That being said, it's not just the students that aren't coming. I know, it's a 5 minute walk and the tickets are (except for us season ticket holders) free so there isn't really much excuse but it's not all their fault that Lane was as empty as it was.
what concerns me most is the short week for gt. i hope we arent looking past this game. if we can get a run game going to control the clock I think well be ok
I was in the same dilemma earlier on who to pull for for the sake of conference reputation, but it's Clemson... No, Just no. And I too like chaos. I only pull for Clemson during ACC vc. SEC games. I hate the first drive of the 2nd half started like that for NC State... Hopefully they can push back ahead. The penalties killed them.
I told my brother who went to Clemson that: Clemson offense + Tech defense = Cristal football
Clemson is lucky they're not facing OUR defense tonight.
Oh, I am all for chaos! That's part of what I love about the acc. But from a national reputation standpoint, I don't mind having Clemson and FSU highly ranked.

Clemson's defense sucks. I have not been impressed with them. Tahj Boyd isn't invincible. NC State keeps shooting themselves in the foot with penalties.
That said...NC State appears to be Clemson's kryptonite.
doubt it. He wants a unified brand image, oddly enough. It cost VT a lot of money to buy out the rights to that Logo, from what i heard.
I think, in this case, anti-Clemson and #goacc are synonymous...

I dug a little more and found an article by Uni Watch. Turns out an anonymous source close to the NFL believes the rule was released in order to prevent lawsuits. The VSR4 is discontinued but a lot of NFLers still use it, so when a throwback helmet is used, it means a player has to switch to a current helmet...if an injury is sustained they could claim it's because of a new helmet.
I don't understand why the VSR isn't banned, like you said.
This what need to happen.It needs to be a all white helmet vt in hokie stone with all white uniforms, with hokie stone stripes on pants and numbers very little maroon and white.Any else will straight up suck!
I am rooting for NC State. I like chaos. Although, if Clemson were to win out, and we make it to the ACCCG, we potentially would have another chance at beating no. 1 on a neutral field this season. I don't think that scenario is too realistic.

Daaaaamn.... I REALLY hate Clemson. But I REALLY dont want the ACC to be perceived as suck again...
Kinda both, NC State has really been rushing them both ways, but Clemson is still kinda playing down to them. There have been some impressive plays on both side (the fake pump screen pass reverse handoff was kinda cool), but this could be a close one. We'll see how it looks after the half with the adjustments.
(As I stated in the coastal thread though, I was listening without sound in the first half so I couldn't hear, but I think those timeouts on Clemsons sides were totally bogus. If the plays get that far into execution it shouldn't count. Maybe the whistles went off early enough, but again, that was my judgement with no sound)
I have the game on, but haven't followed all the action. Should we be #goacc or anti Clemson? I'm torn.

If we do play them, our defense can give them a real rough night if they run their game like this
