Easy there with the borderline racism, but not only has the international population gotten bigger but so has the school, up about 5,000 since '96. So even with this so called influx of foreign students there are plenty in school that grew up with football and that should not be an excuse.

Whatever happens tonight, I just hope we get a chance to beat them this year.

I count myself among the lucky to have been in the Superdome to see MV play in that NC Game against FSU.

Incredible performance!

Tech takes on Marshall on Saturday, kickoff is at 12:30 in Blacksburg.

I'M SO CONFUSED.

I need to put my two sense in...I went to my first VT football game as a freshman in '06. I went to every home game from then until I graduated in Dec '10. I even went to about 3 more games the following season, traveling all the way from PA. Now, as a first semester grad student, I was really excited to go the WCU game. It sucked. The fans are not fans at all; the game was not that entertaining. I honestly wanted to leave after the 1st quarter, BUT I didn't, because I was there to cheer on my team. I stayed until the clock read 0:00.

I recently overheard one of my fellow grad student male classmate talk about the Marshall game, saying that if it was raining he wasn't going to go. I nearly had a heart attack and I said something about how I was real fan and would go watch it in the rain. The majority of the students really are pathetic.

I would definitely applaud UVA for that, however I can't applaud Mike London for changing hats or whatever every quarter for military appreciation. I guess though, if we're bashing people before putting profit before veterans we should bash Best Buy for not giving out free TVs to vets. Nothing against Veterans though - I hope that comment was viewed in a bad way, I just hate people that have to complain about everything.

I would think that the way to beat it would be a play-action fake to draw in the safety a step or two and then a deep fly, or skinny post pattern in the hopes that you can catch the CB on a blitz and the safety will be unable to get over in time to cover for him.

There will always be a prick trying to turn a nice story into trash. I know we all give LOLUVA hell, but if they do something nice like this hopefully we will have the dignity to applaud them. I like reading comments like that so I remember what being a real Hokie is all about.

I'd like to see it not as bright, maybe a duller looking Hokies stone, with a lighter maroon VT looking like it's etched in to the stone. Wish I was better at visually representing my idea. I need to get a job where I can play on the internet during the day, slanging pills is taking away from my THE KEY PLAY interactions.

I like the spread.

As a formation, mind you. Less so as a philosophy.

Hey! Did you go to high school there? I graduated from Lake Taylor High School myself.

Are players still allowed to wear the VSR-4? I know Tom Brady and a few others used to sill wear it. If so, this is one of the most hypocritical rules ever. If a helmet is discontinued for not being safe enough, it should be banned immediately.

Doesn't seem like we have a mirroring Atlantic thread going, but yeah, NC State is spending a extraordinary amount of time in Clemson's backfield. I've been watching with no audio though, so I can't tell when that timeout before the nonexistent pick was called.

So where are we talking about how impressed we are with how NC State is playing against Clemson so far?

I'd like to see it too, believe me. I was shocked when the NFL came out and said that--but at the same time the NFL are actively trying to reduce concussions more than any other league, so they may be on to something. I think it has to do with the padding conforming to the players head, maximizing safety. A brand new helmet is obviously safe, but it would seem a broken in one is even safer, per NFL. I would like to see Virginia Tech release something in regards to this.

Eh, I think the reasons for A&M's success with fundraising last year goes like this:
1. Johnny Manziel
2. Beating Alabama
3. Most exciting football A&M alums have seen in a long time
4. Joining the SEC

VT probably will not get 1, 2, and 3. Revenues probably would go up, but I don't know if I donate more money because they're in the SEC...
