So when does Logan throw his fifth and final pick? Do you think he will make us wait a while or get it out of the way this weekend?
Updated dline projections with news that corey marshall is redshirting this year.
I'm happy with redshirting Corey Marshall, it honestly makes a lot of sense. I'll update the 2015 recruiting post.
I have been convinced, even back to the Ricky Bustle days, that the coaches were either committed to a single read then run passing game, or a scramble, hold on to the ball, and break open. There was no sophistication or emphasis on making multiple reads and then throwing on time when a receiver makes the correct cut. It was incredibly lazy "my athlete can beat your athlete" coaching, and when their athlete wasn't better (see 2005 vs Miami) the whole offense sputtered.
Damn! 51-49. What the hell?
They probably just thought he was cheating because he was always open so they cut him to avoid an investigation. Little did they know that Danny Coale is ALWAYS open.
Beat me to it!
Thomas finished the game 25-for-43 for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and one pick. He said he did better with his progressions, something he said is still relatively new for him. It wasnt an emphasis under the old offensive coaching staff.
We would have progressions, but they werent talked about in the same way as we talk about them now, Thomas said. They really run the offense, they run how we throw the football, so I feel a lot more confident and a lot more comfortable in this new way.
This is what gives me confidence in Logan's ability for this season.

Reading this (well, along with a lot of other things discussed on TKP) makes me very happy. Further validates the ineptitude as a result of the previous offensive staff.
Yep. Although, I always get a little worried in that scheme because they can still go play action out of the zone read look which can make us vulnerable, especially since the QB will not be pressured in the backfield.
I understand why Bo was upset. But ya know, laugh all ya want at Beamer's coach speak and even temperament, but Thank God we have a true southern gentleman for a head coach and representative of our University! (Is there anyone better?...I doubt it!) The reason I can hardly stand some otherwise brilliant comedians, and a lot of rap music in general, is the every-other-word use of the f-bomb. An occasional well-placed curse word can add emphasis and effect and convey extreme emotion, but any more than that distracts from your point and ruins almost any speech. And yes, unfortunately, I curse when aggravated and am not nearly the gentleman in control of his mouth that I was raised to be.
Well two of #AllTheVicks was enough too, but we ended up with 3. Whoops.
...and more attendance than a UVA home game...
So, taken out of context, this makes London seem...well...not how it's meant.
They don't have Giovanni Bernard anymore. That guy smoked us every time we played. I don't think they have a running back that can put up 250 yards on us this time.
Haha, I do live in Northern VA - so it's possible to see me parked anywhere in the DC, Arlington, Reston areas.
Oh gosh...I'm not 100%, but I am pretty sure I got it from Tech Bookstore on Main St. the day after I graduated.
On the screens I agree completely. It is worth noting that the best the offensive line looked all day was leading out in front of both running back screens AND they were getting out to seal pursuit inside on several screens to Knowles as well.
Except if you listened to Shane Beamer on the radio last night, you would know that the Equipment Manager's office is now a must stop on every recruit visit because he keeps a wall of the gear that the recruits love to go through.....Beamer also said that last years Military Appreciation uni's were the only thing that got him a ton of positive responses when he was talking to recruits last year. That said, whoever is responsible for these designs should be put on a horse with Cavman.....these are just plain awful.
A pass rush cures all ills. Elite corners look bad when a QB has all day to throw. So so corners can look great if the quarterback is pulling grass out of his crack.
But, Facyson and Fuller have that special closing speed and instinct for ballhawking that makes them stand out. This should be an excellent secondary for a long time.
No truer words have been spoken!
If the Hokies can contain Johnson, Morris doesn't scare me a lick.
Renner is a good player. UNC's offense is going to be one heck of a challenge, especially with a power back like Blue and a big tight end who can make plays.
That's because the universe is fair, Horse. Thank God we didn't get #AlltheGlennons...one was WAYYYY more than enough

Let's hire him as an assistant for our receivers. The man has secrets about getting open that must be shared, I'm sure of it.
