A place to waste time on the internet
I think that gif covers all of our reactions perfectly. It's like a "I wish I could choke you to death with my eyeballs" sort of look
that's what she said.
I don't disagree with you. But I don't think we should ignore the fact that the kids have parents, too, who would hopefully have taught them to have a little integrity. I don't think that's too much to ask for a college student. I know students at that age don't have the reputation of being model citizens yet, but really there are people who should be providing positive leadership somewhere. I'd bet against Saban teaching Fluker to take extra benefits.
Oh God, I'd forgotten about that! My potato cannon has a more formidable sound.
I know a lot of business school graduates from UVA and while their school might be highly rated, I find the lessons learned to be fairly distasteful. Most of the attitude towards business that I've seen from their grads deals with finding tax dodges and shortcuts to making money. I cringe when I hear some of their stories/plans, as it feels to me like...a lack of business integrity? Something like that.
I've heard that our engineering symposiums with their school demonstrate without a doubt that our engineering school dominates in all ways. I haven't attended, but I've heard it looks like they're doing high school engineering.
Well that's a relief for this week. In any case, since I will be following on Gamecast, our guys will be in all maroon in my head, anyway.

'In a related article, uva board of visitors voted to cut ties to the state of Virginia, and change it's name to a ' O->' symbol, or 'the university FORMERLY/FORMALLY known as uva .
'We expect our enrollment to drop somewhat, ' said current chancellor Umbert Flenacker III, 'likely to about 5 students. Of course, all 5 students will be required to have perfect SAT scores, mixed ethnicity, hail from out-of state, and be possibly related to obscure past minor dignitaries. The tuition will be raised to $173 million/year, not including book fees; but this is necessary to eliminate the majority of rabble that may want to pursue higher education.
In fact, our motto will be changed to 'Higher education is not for just anyone'.......in Latin, or even better yet, Sanskrit.'
Tuition would include total laser body-hair removal, though.
The university formerly/formally known as uva would immediately halt any athletic teams and events to save monies and avoid defeat at the hand of their lessors.
All classes will be given in hot-air balloons and students will be required to live in all-glass houses on The Lawn.
There will be only one degree tract: a combined B.S./Ph.D. in 'Multicultural interdisciplinary studies of self-importance' and graduates will immediately be hired to a United Nations think tank and solve all of the world's problems.'
sheesh.......
Their econ, law, medicine, and nursing programs are all highly rated. Have to give credit where it's due. They are a quality university. Their football is just really really soft.
The edit on this makes me giggle.
ESPN was still crowning Bama as champs this year saying they'll just go from being the first team to three peat to just have a national title this year. Not saying they aren't an obvious front runner, but any team can be beat any given saturday...or whatever day of the week ESPN decides you get to play.
They're doing this as leverage to shake down money from the state. Though you left out the most LOLUVA part of the article:
""To some extent, that is true. We do compete for students with William and Mary and Virginia Tech," Sullivan said at the board meeting. "But if you asked our faculty and our alumni if that was our aspiration, I think they would say, 'You're shooting way too low.'"

Yeah, that is what I was realizing about the uniforms. They were road whites, but we did the same thing last year with the military appreciation, so I guess they were just getting fitted for the jersey and that this week's jersey is already packed up for the trip. So we'll have a shade of ugly next week. I'm guessing a standard road white this week, but who knows with the way they did things last year.
It all starts with the coaches Loeffler has on his staff and how effective they've been to date. I'm encouraged by what I'm seeing so far.
Based on what he had to work with, or maybe the OLs didn't have any coaching previously, Grimes has far exceeded my expectations with the OLs; Shane is getting good results from his RBs; and, despite the injury to Malleck, Stiney is starting to get production from his TEs, primarily Cline. And finally, believe it or not, I'm actually seeing signs of life from the QB under Loeffler, and the WRs under Moorehead.
LT improved from the Bama game, but he still needs to work on not staring down his primary receiver along with not throwing jump balls to a guy who's not physically capable of fighting for the ball. The WRs are still having issues with dropping passes (but not nearly as many as those dropped against Bama!!), but they're running better routes and starting to block well downfield on running plays.
There is light at the end of the Tech offensive tunnel, and I personally like what I'm seeing from the new staff. Let's see if we get some additional improvement against ECU.
translation: We are NEVER going to win at football. Let's drop it and become a private school
Military appreciation game is Marshall...next week.
Andy, any chance to get comments from Bruce about his son's move to OL? I am interested if he thinks its best for the team or for his son, or both.
I can see this turning into a bad song thread pretty quickly. yeesh!
I hear that ECU has two starting LB's out for Saturday. That's a hole there for them so I look to see big runs and passes down the middle.
Glad to hear the salary is up to par with an sec program that won a title recently. Two things..they both took less to get the same and they want to be here for the long run. If it pans out and I think it will..more money will come to all.

#LOLUVA.
Some of the true-believer cavs think they're destined to become the "Stanford of the East."
I know some refer to it as ezscrew, but please tell me they don't have the RU disease issues...

God help us all when he does
